The difference between wild orchids and domestic orchids
Wild orchids are orchids that grow naturally in the mountains without artificial cultivation and management. Wild orchids have a wide variety and great variability, which have strong adaptability to the environment, easy cultivation, strong growth potential and strong resistance to diseases and insect pests, from which excellent orchids can be selected. However, after wild orchids are dug out from the mountains, they are often transported, squeezed and stored for too long, and their roots and leaves are easy to be injured and need to be cultivated for many years before they can blossom.
Home-grown orchids are often referred to as orchids. The characters of the same variety of orchids are relatively stable and will not change much, such as florescence, flower shape, flower number, posture, color, fragrance and so on. Due to long-term artificial cultivation, the adaptability of domestic orchids to the environment is worse than that of wild orchids.
