Autumn Dendrobium orchid is beautiful and resistant to bloom, with large flowers and small flowers. The big flower is shaped like Phalaenopsis.

Its flowering habit is slightly different from the deciduous species of Dendrobium candidum. If you want to spend a lot of money, you should pay attention to the following points:

1. Light affects flower bud differentiation-according to the author's personal research, Dendrobium candidum has to go through low temperature weather to make flower bud differentiation (vernalization). However, Dendrobium candidum is different. Whether it blossoms or not, it is most affected by the length of light time and the amount of light.

As long as it is a "short day", then regardless of the temperature, Dendrobium candidum has flower bud formation.

What is meant by "short-day photos"? That is, the light does not exceed 12 hours a day, and the luminosity is only about 60% of that of sunlight, that is, it is appropriate to filter light (indirect light, scattered light).

If more than 12 hours of light a day, the process of flower bud differentiation is inhibited, which may lead to no flowers.

When the "orchid head" (pseudocorm) of Dendrobium candidum matures, the flower bud begins to differentiate. The "dark period" must exceed 12 hours a day. Even a short flash (any light) cannot blossom as long as it breaks the continuity of its "dark period" for five minutes.

Therefore, it is best to shine from 08:00 to 05:00 every day, and it is easy to blossom if you want to stay dark the rest of the time.

2. Plant with vegetarian roast pots and mango bones-the narrow sukiyaki pots and mango bones can not only keep moisture, but also hydrophobic, and are not easy to cause rotten roots; the bottom of the basin or charcoal block is added, and the basin surface is humidified with water moss in summer. It is easy to conceive flowers only if you keep your roots strong and have good absorption.

3. Fertilizer should be thin and not too thick-thick fertilizer will lead to rotten roots and will not be able to absorb "flower fertilizer". After warming up in spring and forcing a thin liquid chemical average fertilizer once or twice, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can be applied every two weeks, diluting 2000 to 3000 times is better.

4. Ventilation-Dendrobium autumnum is afraid that the nebula is not ventilated, which will affect the pregnant flowers, and avoid low temperature, high water and high temperature drying, which are fatal injuries of pregnant flowers. Spray more water on the leaf surface and around it every day.
