Guide the recovery of banana production after the disaster
On July 18, Weimasun, the strongest typhoon in South China in the past 41 years, successively landed in Hainan, Guangdong and Guangxi, carrying strong winds and torrential rains, and agriculture in the three provinces was badly hit. Bananas, rubber and other crops were seriously damaged, patches of bananas and rubber forests were broken, facilities greenhouses were razed to the ground, and a large number of plots failed. Haikou, Wenchang, Chengmai, Ding'an and other cities and counties in Hainan have been particularly badly affected, with agricultural economic losses of more than 4 billion yuan in Hainan.
In an emergency, President Wang Qinghuang sent experts from fruit trees, melons and vegetables to the hardest-hit areas of Hainan Land Reclamation together with Hainan Land Reclamation Science and Technology Department. to guide the recovery of production of Lizhi, jackfruit, pepper and other crops after the disaster. At the same time, according to the disaster situation, the Chinese Academy of Thermal Sciences sent experts to Baoluo Town, Xinqiao Town, Tanniu Town and Donglu Town in Wenchang City, Sanjiang Town and Yunlong Town in Haikou City, as well as Ding'an County, Chengmai County and other townships to carry out technical guidance on the recovery of rubber, banana, melon and vegetable crops after the disaster.
Guiding the root treatment method of rubber tree
Nearly 40,000 mu of rubber trees have been affected in Ding'an County, and rubber farmers' demand for post-disaster treatment technology of rubber trees is particularly urgent. In view of this situation, the Chinese Academy of Thermal Sciences actively contacted Hainan Provincial Department of Agriculture, Hainan Science and Technology 110 and hot farming departments of various cities and counties, and organized experts from rubber research institutes to go to Ding'an County to carry out disaster relief operations. on-site training on the varieties, rubber cutting methods and dead skin treatment related to rubber farmers, and went to the rubber garden to conduct on-site guidance and technical demonstration on the treatment methods of fully fallen trees, semi-guided trees and cut-off trees.
In the disaster area of Guangdong, a scientific and technological team composed of experts from rubber, sugarcane, bananas, tropical fruits and plant protection of the Chinese Academy of Thermal Sciences went to Xuwen, Leizhou, Suixi, Lianjiang and other disaster-stricken areas to understand the damage of rubber, sugarcane, bananas, dates, and other cash crops, and to scientifically guide farmers in disaster relief and resumption of production.
