Recently, it was learned from the White Feather Broiler Alliance of the Poultry Industry Branch of the China Animal Husbandry Association (referred to as the China White Feather Broiler Alliance) that the total export volume of Chinese chicken in 2013 reached 430,600 tons, an increase of 1.91% over 2012. Chicken exports are expected to continue to grow this year, and white feather chicken exports are expected to exceed 450,000 tons. It is reported that Chinese chicken is being shared by 52 countries and regions in Asia, Europe and the Middle East due to its high quality and low price. Japan, China Hong Kong and Malaysia have become the top three exporters of Chinese chicken.

Gong Guifen, secretary-general of Poultry Branch of China Animal Husbandry Association, analyzed that China's chicken continued to export in large quantities mainly because, firstly, China is a big producer of pork, beef and mutton, but it is not a powerful country. Under the condition of meeting the domestic market, the export capacity is relatively weak; Second, compared with chicken, pork, beef and mutton have long production cycle, while chicken with short production cycle and easy cost control obviously has obvious advantages; Third, in terms of meat safety and quality control, chicken has more advantages. At present, China has a large number of large-scale chicken industrialization leading enterprises such as Dacheng, Zhengda and Huadu. After decades of efforts, a stable food safety control system has been established and the international market has been firmly controlled. Fourthly, the trade barriers set up by countries to protect their own meat production keep Chinese pork, beef and mutton out of the door, but the indispensability of Chinese chicken in Asian and Middle East markets breaks through these barriers.

"The reason why Chinese chicken can be exported to more than 50 countries is because the quality control of Chinese chicken industry is a closed loop." Li Jinghui, secretary-general of China White Feather Broiler Alliance, said that the biggest characteristic of Chinese chicken export enterprises is that they basically have a complete industrial chain from egg breeding, incubation, feed production, vaccine production, slaughtering to cooked food processing and seasoning production. The broiler industry has built a closed loop with safe and controllable quality within the enterprise.

It is understood that the chicken enterprises under the China White Feather Broiler Alliance have basically established a complete set of strict breeding biosafety system, effectively preventing various risks from the aspects of farm site selection, plant layout, breeding management, etc., and ensuring the health of chickens. At the same time, from chicken production to commercial broiler breeding and slaughtering, the management mode of "five unifications" is strictly implemented: unified supply of chickens, unified supply of feed, unified epidemic prevention and disinfection, unified use of drugs, unified purchase and slaughtering, so as to make chicken more safe and reliable.
