Ren Zhengxiao said that the backward warehouse types before the 1960s have all retired from the historical stage, and modern warehouse types such as tall flat warehouses, shallow silos and vertical silos account for more than 60% of all warehouses, and the granary type has been upgraded. Of all the warehouses, 78% are equipped with mechanical ventilation systems, 57% are equipped with computerized grain situation measurement and control systems, 41% are equipped with recirculation fumigation systems, the functions of granaries are more complete, and the degree of mechanization of warehousing and logistics operations is significantly improved.

The reporter learned at the forum that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of the "four no granaries." The first generation of grain people in New China, represented by grain cadres and workers in Yuhang, Zhejiang Province, established the "four no granaries" in 1954 without insects, mildew, rats and finches.
