Chunlan, also known as grass orchid, is the main traditional flower in China and a symbol of nobility and elegance. Its aroma ranks first in the group and is known as "the first fragrance in the world". Cymbidium is a semi-negative plant, and its growth depends on maintenance and management. The cultivation site requires good ventilation, shading facilities and light. Commonly used sunshade net and film rain shade, spring and summer require better shade, autumn and winter to give sufficient sunshine, conducive to root and leaf growth and flowering. Avoid direct sunlight or exposure.

Watering is the key to the cultivation of spring orchids, and the amount of watering depends on the temperature, light intensity and plant growth. Winter temperature is low, humidity is high, less watering, summer plant growth is exuberant, high temperature should be more watering; but summer showers must be avoided, film must be used to block the rain. It is appropriate to water early in the morning. It is easy to have black spot when it is caught in the rain in autumn. It is better to water at noon on a sunny day in winter. If there are conditions, it is best to install automatic spraying facilities to increase air humidity, which is more beneficial to the growth and development of Cymbidium. For orchids, it is better to use Rain Water and river water. Tap water must be put into the pool and used later.

Spring and summer and autumn are in the prosperous period of spring orchid growth, so more fertilizer can be applied once a week from late March to late September, and the concentration should be light. The growth is slow in autumn and winter, so we should apply less fertilizer once every semimonthly. Spray a small amount of water after fertilization to prevent the fertilizer from contaminating the leaves. Fertilization must be carried out in the evening on a sunny day, and there is a risk of rotting roots on cloudy days. In general, orchids are dormant in winter and do not need fertilization. Granular compound fertilizer or special fertilizer for potted flowers can also be used during the growing period.
