Chunlan is one of the most difficult fine-leaf varieties of orchids to cultivate. It is not easy to raise Maohua in Jiaodong area. No wonder friends often sigh: "one year flowers, two years grass, three years nothing."

First, the plant material for planting spring orchid should not be too thick, use mountain topsoil to add oak leaves (commonly known as oak trees) or larch leaves to be sifted for a year, and the coarse mud left over from the sieving soil should be used to cushion the bottom of the basin. The ratio of mud to rotten leaves should be 3 ∶ 5, and the sieve mesh should be 1 cm. The humus in the plant material must not be too much, after analysis, the plant material with too much humus, the air flow is also large, which is not available in the wet and warm south. In the north, except for the high temperature and humidity in July and August every year, the rest of the months are dry and low temperature, which leads to the situation of no moisture in spring and autumn and no heat preservation in cold winter, which is extremely disadvantageous to the growth of orchids.

Second, fertilizer Chunlan is the slowest growing species, and there is little demand for fertilizer. As long as the basin soil is changed every two years, the natural fertilizer in the plant can fully meet the growth needs of orchid plants. According to the ancients, orchid grass does not need to be fertilized. I think that's what it means. If excessive fertilization results in fertilizer deposition, it will easily lead to rotten roots and withered leaves of orchid plants. Changing the soil every two years is the best way to solve the fertilizer shortage of spring orchids. As the saying goes, "change pots frequently to grow buds, but late pots will only blossom." Even if it is necessary to apply fertilizer, it should be less and less, especially foliar application. If it must be given, it is better to pour golden soup from April to July, silver soup from August to November, and not to apply it once a month in the rest of the month. The performance of fertilizer damage in Chunlan is also very slow, when you find Jiaojian yellow leaves, it is too late, you should immediately change the soil and replant.

Third, water many people are affected by the "dry orchid wet chrysanthemum", so that the orchid plant is too dry, resulting in withered and scorched orchid leaves and thin blue buds. Drying is sometimes more likely to hurt bluegrass than when there is more water. The orchid plant can dry a little from late June to early August every year, and there is no shortage of water in other months, including the cold winter. The water quality is better with Rain Water snow water. Tap water and well water need to be exposed for a few days to volatilize the chlorine in the water. If you put some purslane or grass in the water, the water quality will be better.

4. Temperature and light Cymbidium is a cold-tolerant strain, which can withstand the low temperature of about zero degrees and grow best in the environment of 16-25 ℃. However, due to the thin leaflets of this strain, the change of seasonal temperature is very easy to scorch the orchid leaves. If it is not to promote the orchid bud to blossom with a higher arrow, the orchid plant should be allowed to enter the cellar from the middle of October every year, and the time to get out of the cellar should be late, so as to promote the orchid plant to sprout and sprout early. From mid-September to early June of next year, the orchid plant can see all-weather sunlight, and the light can be shaded by about 70% in other months. If the light is suitable, the orchid plant has thick leaves and strong seedlings.

Fifth, the maintenance of this strain is more difficult than other strains, in blue buds unearthed, should be more careful, watering and fertilization should not be splashed on the leaf buds to prevent rotten buds and leaves. In case of heavy rain, a small number should be moved into the room (shed) to take shelter from the rain, and those with more inconvenience should wash away the soil spattered on the orchid leaves with clean water after the rain, and then use a household hair dryer to dry the orchid plants as soon as possible. After the orchid bud is unearthed, if the orchid bud is covered with sunshade paper, it will grow very fast, and the paper cover can be removed when it grows to two inches. In July and August, most of the flower buds of Chunlan have sprouted, which can be seen as weak and strong, and the weaker flower buds are removed. The orchid plant with green flowers can block the buds and is expected to bloom purer, while the red and yellow flowers will bloom more brightly.
