Scientifically grasp the law of village evolution

General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out at the Central Rural Work Conference that with the economic and social development, some villages will gather more people and some natural villages will gradually die out, which conforms to the law of village evolution. Learning this important exposition, we should make great efforts to grasp the evolution law of villages.

As for the evolution law of villages, the author believes that there are mainly the following five aspects:

Law of interaction. It mainly refers to the interaction between villages and towns, which requires the two-way free flow of population, resources and production and living factors between urban and rural areas. In this process, villages generally experienced historical changes of decline and revival. Generally speaking, an urbanization rate of 50% is an important node between decline and rejuvenation. Beyond this node, villages will begin to revive one after another.

Law of fusion. It mainly refers to the integration of village and industry. It requires village as carrier, industry as support, integration of production and village and interaction. Along with the rejuvenation of villages, agriculture is gradually modernized and multifunctional, and villages have become an important element of rural tourism. Without industrial support, no matter how beautiful the village construction is, it cannot escape the fate of "hollowing".

Harmony law. It mainly refers to the harmony between village and nature, which requires the harmonious integration of village, farmhouse, landscape, forest plate and farmland. Traditional villages pay attention to feng shui, which is actually respect for natural mountains and rivers. It is this respect that makes the village conform to nature, source far and flow long. The destruction of mountains, rivers, forests and farmland and the deterioration of the environment are the direct reasons for the disappearance of some natural villages.

Law of difference. It mainly refers to the differentiation between villages, which requires each village to reflect its own geographical, economic, social, cultural and ecological characteristics. In different villages, people should be able to see a living face. It is these different faces that form the faces of villages. Otherwise, a thousand villages will lose their charm.

Inheritance law. It mainly refers to the inheritance of history and culture. It requires the protection of ancient courtyards, dwellings, forest plates and various local buildings, so that the cultural incense left by our ancestors can be passed down from generation to generation. Now, people increasingly realize that villages are carriers of farming civilization, where the roots of traditional culture lie, and where our soft power lies. This reflects the understanding of inheritance law.

Village evolution law is the basic compliance of village construction. Only by grasping these laws can we ensure that the village construction path is correct and the direction is correct.
