The white orchid has tall and straight branches, green leaves, white and elegant flowers, the fragrance is quiet and sweet, and the fragrance is the strongest when it is ready to bloom; it has a long flowering period and suitable temperature. Have unique growth habits.

(1) like light, not resistant to shade, but should not be exposed to the scorching sun. If placed in the shade for a long time, the branches are long and the leaves are thin, the leaves are easy to fall off, the flowers are thin and fragrant, and the growth is thin; when the summer is too dry, it should be slightly shaded and watered around the basin.

(2) like to be warm and humid, but not resistant to drought. White orchid leaves transpiration fast, water consumption, summer is often a little late watering, the leaf edge will scorch, and even burn tender shoots. Insufficient watering, basin soil is too dry, there will be leaf color yellow scorched edge phenomenon. Watering should be thoroughly watered to avoid root watering. Because the white orchid is a fleshy root, how much water in the basin is not conducive to the growth of the root system, especially afraid of stagnant water, it is easy to cause the root system to blacken and rot, so it is necessary to pour the basin on the side in the rainy season and pay attention to waterlogging; it is found that the yellow leaves or leaves caused by rotten roots turn red, so that watering should be strictly controlled, and even when the leaves are soft, they can be watered again, and the watered water should be stored first to adapt to the temperature.

Magnolia should enter the room in front of the Beginning of Winter, otherwise a cold frost will damage the new shoots and young leaves of Magnolia, which can survive the winter in about 15 ℃ during the day and at a room temperature of not less than 5 ℃ at night. If you see the leaves wrinkling and falling off, it means that the indoor temperature is too high. It should be noted that whether the leaves fall off due to overcooling or overheating, they will affect flowering in the coming year. Should also pay attention to prevent soot dust, and increase the humidity around the crown, often use water spray wash branches and leaves, keep the leaves clean, so that branches and leaves fresh green.

(3) sexual fattening. Due to the many times of flowering, one flowering consumes a lot of nutrition, so it must be replenished in time, otherwise it will inevitably affect flowering. It is appropriate to apply rotten human dung, urine and oil, apply light liquid fertilizer in early spring, gradually thicken it, and add appropriate amount of ferrous sulfate. Do not apply fertilizer when it is too dry or too wet. In summer, you can irrigate fertilizer in the afternoon and water in the evening to dilute the fertilizer and water, disperse the root heat to avoid root burning, and stop fertilization by the end of September or early October.

(4) prefer acidic soil with good drainage performance. If the water used for irrigation is too alkaline, it will cause poor plant growth and yellow leaves.

(5) it is required to be well ventilated, otherwise it is easy to cause harm to red spiders, and the leaves of the damaged plants turn yellow and fall off. In this case, in addition to spraying insecticides, the basin should be moved to a cool place, controlled watering, and new leaves can be regenerated soon.

(6) White orchids sprout only twice a year in spring and summer days, during which the branches stop growing for a period of time, and then they sprout for the second time. After each sprouting, five or six flowers can blossom from May to September. Therefore, in the growing period, diseased branches, dead branches and overgrown branches should be cut off, and some old leaves should be removed to control the growth of trees, so as to promote the gestation of flower buds and improve the quality of flowering. It is appropriate to remove the old leaves after the first peak growth period and in the following spring.

(7) it is not easy for cuttings to take root, and the white orchids cultivated in China can not be harvested because of climate and other factors. Magnolia and yellow orchid can be used as rootstocks for grafting and propagation. the rootstocks can be put on the pot in spring and planted on one side of the pot first, so that when leaning against the scion, the rootstock is easy to be close to the scion and the grafting position can be reduced as much as possible. Grafting time to the peak season of white orchid growth is the most suitable; a small amount of reproduction, can also be used in the air striping method, although the number is too small, but the assurance of survival.
