In summer, the temperature rises and the air humidity increases, and all kinds of Lanhui enter a period of vigorous growth. At this time, we must grasp the following links.

1. Shading: in summer, orchids like to grow in a cool, ventilated environment. After the Beginning of Summer, the sun increased day by day. In the north, orchids just come out of the greenhouse and can be placed under shady trees or next to bamboo groves, or in shade sheds, and receive low light sooner or later. In order to accelerate the growth of orchid buds, they can be exposed to low light for an hour sooner or later. At the end of summer, it is more necessary to strengthen shading, prevent heat and cool down, sprinkle water frequently in the morning, noon and evening, and keep orchid places ventilated frequently.

two。 Disinfestation and sterilization: the sun is shining brightly in summer in the south, and Rain Water is abundant, and the plant material in the orchid pot becomes sour, which is easy to cause insect pests. Therefore, pesticides should be sprayed around the culture site and potted orchids every 7 days to kill insects and sterilize.

3. Watering: once the basin orchid is short of water in summer, it will grow poorly. If you use hard hydrophobic plants such as red brick grains, volcanic stones, pumice and Emei immortal soil, you can supply water once or twice a day; if you use plants with strong water absorption, such as pond mud, soil sugar, rotten leaf soil and peat soil, you can supply water once every two to three days, as long as you spray water on the leaves in the morning, noon and evening every day. In short, potted orchid plant materials, as long as keep 70 to 80% wet, can meet its growth needs.

In the hot summer season, watering should be carried out before sunrise in the early morning and after the residual heat decreases in the evening. The pathological conditions such as rotten roots of orchids, black spots on leaves and rotten cores of leaf buds are mostly related to improper water supply.

4. Fertilizer supply: green leaf products should apply fertilizer with the balance of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, while Lanyi orchid should only apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. No matter what kind of organic fertilizer is used, it must be fully fermented and thoroughly ripe and diluted with clean water. It is better to apply "thin fertilizer frequently". Liquid fertilizer should be applied every 10 days between the Beginning of Summer and Grain in Beard in the lunar calendar, and at night in sunny days. Within an hour or two after fertilizing, or the next morning, pour the pot orchid with clean water to remove the residual fertilizer so as to prevent the orchid root from being damaged and rotted. New orchid plants, diseased orchid plants and old weak orchid plants with poor growth will not apply intra-root fertilizer. In the summer heat period, when the temperature is higher than 30 degrees Celsius, all kinds of orchids stop fertilizing, rainy days also avoid fertilization, four seasons orchid stalks unearthed or during flowering should not be fertilized.
