The transformation of ecological agriculture goes hand in hand with ensuring food security
In 1994, Lester Brown, director of the US Earth Policy Research Institute, published an article entitled "who will feed China" in the World Watch of the United States, claiming that China is bound to have a food shortage, which will lead to a world food crisis. At that time, this view immediately aroused great repercussions in the international community. However, in 2013, the National Bureau of Statistics released figures showing that the country's total grain output broke through the 600 million tons mark for the first time, reaching 1.20387 trillion jin, realizing the miracle of "ten consecutive increases", which forcefully broke Brown's prediction at that time and deserves our pride and pride. Under the influence of multiple unfavorable factors such as "drought in the south and waterlogging in the north", it is not easy for grain output to reach a new high again, and this is the first time that grain output has increased for ten consecutive years since the founding of the people's Republic of China.
However, in the context of the bumper harvest of "ten consecutive increases", the number of grain imports in China is constantly surging. In 2012, we imported 80.25 million tons of grain, the most in history. Why do you need so many imports? The increasing population, the scarcity of land and water resources, the increasing taste of food and the lack of mechanization are the main reasons for the increase in imports. For example, the planting area and sugar production of sugarcane in Guangxi have been ranked first in the country, and half of the sugar output in the country comes from Guangxi. However, the latest data show that imported sugar is now close to 30%, and the price difference between domestic and foreign white sugar has aggravated the losses of domestic sugar enterprises. The reason why there is such a big gap is the serious lack of mechanized harvesting. One person a small piece of land, the machine can not go up, planting sugar cane, cutting sugar cane, squeezing sugar cane all rely on manpower. At present, Thailand, India, Australia, the United States and other countries have all used automatic harvesting machines to harvest sugar cane.
Agricultural mechanization is a prerequisite for the development of modern ecological agriculture. The original eco-agricultural system relies solely on the quantity source and material flow of the ecosystem to maintain circulation, while the modern eco-agricultural system largely relies on agricultural machinery to greatly improve agricultural labor productivity and reduce production costs. as a result, the output rate of land and the utilization rate of resources are improved. For a long time, the power of agricultural machinery in China is low, the production scale is limited, the quality of cultivated land is declining, the operation efficiency is low, and the production benefit is not high. The development of large-scale agricultural machinery will promote the standardization, scale and industrialization of agricultural production, which can not only increase crop output, but also save seeds, water and fertilizer, save labor, reduce production costs, and achieve cost-saving and income-saving in agriculture. the improvement of agricultural labor productivity also promotes the transfer of farmers to non-agricultural industries and broadens the channels for increasing farmers' income. At the same time, the use of large-scale agricultural machinery farming can also give full play to the effect of large-scale machinery combined with land preparation, improve the utilization rate of land resources, and promote the sustainable development of agriculture.
Therefore, agricultural mechanization is not only the key to the transformation and development of China's ecological agriculture, but also the inevitable choice to ensure China's food security. In the future, we must adhere to the transformation of ecological agriculture and adopt a multi-pronged approach to ensure the safety of the tip of the tongue.

To ensure national food security, cultivated land protection and ecological protection should be strengthened.
To ensure national food security, it is necessary to do a good job in ecological protection, cultivated land protection and core agricultural area protection. The state has put forward a red line of 1.8 billion mu of cultivated land to ensure that the area of cultivated land is not reduced. Drawing the red line of ecological protection is an urgent need to curb the severe trend of ecological environment degradation.
