Last Updated: 2024/11/05, When young seedlings, you can only give it a heart when it is 15 cm, and wait until the new shoots grow to 10 cm before taking the second time. When it grows up, it should be pruned during its dormant period to make it grow a more beautiful and robust canopy.

First, the pruning of young seedlings.

1. the shape of the seedling can be determined according to personal preference, but it has to be trimmed, because if it is allowed to grow, it is likely to cause its branches not to look good, and the main branches and side branches are not obvious, so it doesn't look good.

2. If we want to cut it into a small tree that works alone, we can pick its heart when it is only 15 centimeters, and then leave two or three new shoots as the backbone, and then pick the heart again when the new tip grows to ten centimeters. In this way, the year will have a very obvious shape.

Second, pruning when you grow up

1. This needs to be trimmed and shaped according to the appearance of the plant. If the branches are relatively short, we can only cut off those branches that grow irrationally, and if they grow thicker, we have to cut off the parts of them. In this way, it will be better to be transparent and ventilated, and the plant will grow healthier.

2. If the tree does not grow well, or its lower part is bald, or it is too tall, we should all prune it again during its dormant period.

In fact, we leave two or three side branches or buds at the base of its side branches, and then cut off the top branches, we can make it shorter and grow a more beautiful and robust crown.

Third, pruning after flowering

Pruning after flowering should cut off the abortive flowers that consume nutrients and make them blossom better. Strong cutting is usually carried out, for flowering plants.

IV. Pruning of old plants

We can prune the old plants, usually every one or two years. By doing so, the new branches can germinate quickly, and the plants can be more robust and dwarfed.
