Last Updated: 2024/11/06, The prerequisite for raising asparagus is, first of all, light and temperature: mainly astigmatism, the temperature can not be lower than 5 degrees in winter; secondly, watering: either dry or wet, and often spray water to the leaves in summer to cool down; then fertilizer: not too thick, do not apply fertilizer in summer and winter; soil: loose, good drainage; finally, change the basin: once every 2 years.

1. Light

Asparagus fasciatus prefers a cool environment and grows mainly with astigmatism. In summer, it is necessary to properly shade it, because it is afraid of strong light, so it is placed in the best ventilated semi-shade environment, otherwise, it will cause the leaves to yellow, or even fall, which greatly affects the appearance. In addition, in winter, Wenzhu is extremely afraid of cold, so at the end of autumn, it should be moved indoors as soon as possible, and the room temperature should be controlled at about 5 degrees, never lower than this temperature, otherwise freezing damage will occur.

2. Watering

Watering has a great influence on whether asparagus can be raised well. First of all, ensure that the pot soil is dry and wet properly, not too dry for a long time, nor too wet for a long time, otherwise it will make the leaves yellow, the roots rot, and finally cause the leaves to fall off. So when the weather is dry, spray water on the leaves in time. Then when watering, to a one-time irrigation, but also to ensure that dry and wet appropriate, there can be no excess water in the basin. In winter, you can reduce the number of watering times, just clean the branches and leaves frequently, so that the plants can be kept fresh and green.

3. Fertilizer

In order not to let it grow excessively, when fertilizing, do not use too thick fertilizer, and do not fertilize too many times. It usually takes about 10 days. To summer high temperature and winter low temperature, to stop fertilization, to prevent root rot.

4. Soil

It likes loose, well-drained soil, so it often uses soil containing garden soil and rotting leaf soil. Its roots are fleshy, its respiration is extremely strong, and the oxygen required is also large, so the basin soil must be loose and not hardened.

5. Change the basin

The last key point of good cultivation is to change the pot in time, once every 2 years, to ensure that the plant and pot size are appropriate, change the pot, but also replace the old soil, re-add loose soil into it, plus careful care, you can make it grow better.
