At the end of December 1995, Shi Ke, a 14-year-old peasant child in Bijie Yachi Town, and Ma Jun, a cousin of Lishu Town, went together to dig orchids on the slopes of Chenjiazhai Pine Forest near the Shuiutun Power Station in Lishu Town. Shike dug up a clump of ten seedlings of Chunlan flowers, and seven buds have not yet opened. After peeling, they can clearly identify how many tongue petals there are, which is the "Wumeng Peony" in the later Yanglan world.

Shike was young and ignorant. When he got home, he asked his eldest brother Ma Jingui to take the selenium flowers to Bijie City for sale. Early the next morning, Ma Jingui took the strange flower to Bijie and found several buyers who did not negotiate a good price. Finally, he agreed to sell it all to Zhu Hongzhi, Zhu Hengyang and others who worked in the hotel at a price of 1000 yuan. After the deal, due to other reasons, the two Zhu teachers gave Ma Jingui an extra 100 yuan. When Ma Jingui got home, he lied to Shike that he only sold it for 600 yuan. Of the 600 yuan, Shi Ke only got 380 yuan, Ma Jingui 200 yuan and Ma Jun 20 yuan.

From February 27 to March 2, 1996, the second Guizhou Orchid Expo was held in Jinsha County. Zhu Hongzhi and others presented the flower to the exhibition and won the gold medal. After the exhibition, we went back to Bijie, Zhu Hongzhi, Zhu Hengyang, Zhao Yuejin and other people who worked in the hotel, and cultivated the odd flower by themselves.

The odd flower semi-soft drooping leaves, leaf feet tight upper oblique arched, leaf length 250 mm, leaf width 8 mm, leaf thick waxy, cross section is v-shaped. Weak seedlings have only three or four leaves, while strong grass has five leaves. In Gulin, Sichuan, the author saw that the leaves of the odd flower could grow to 320 mm long, but the leaf width did not increase significantly, which was estimated to be caused by climatic factors.

The three petals of the odd flower are plain, bamboo leaves, light green, purple halo, floating xxx or only roll. But the core column has been degenerated and flattened, and the petals are all tongued, up to nine pieces, turned upside down, v-shaped bright red strips, very gorgeous, pure and distant fragrance, treasures of spring orchid flowers. According to the shape of the flower, Bijie Lanyou vividly likens the flower to "Baogu flower", which is like popcorn fried in a heating expander.

In the later cultivation practice, the odd flower showed many advantages, such as easy cultivation, strong resistance to diseases and insect pests, high flowering rate, strong germination rate and so on. In a year, spring and autumn can sprout once, autumn grass can grow to four leaves at the end of December, another spring grass can grow into autumn bud, and grow into big grass at the end of December. In that year, two seedlings of spring grass and three seedlings of autumn grass were added to one seedling of grass.

After the strange flower blossomed and won the prize, the visionary Bijie orchid friends Yang Tianzhi, Wu Chaoxin, Wang Dingxian and others were named Ma Jingui. Shike successively searched for hundreds of seedlings under the mountain grass and dragon root seedlings to be cultivated respectively. After the later cultivation practice, a relatively strange phenomenon appeared. there are 600 square meters of downhill grass at the foot of the flower, and most of the flowers show abnormal phenomena such as hardening of petals, tongue petals or multi-tongue. there are even chimera multi-tongue flowers. As a result, it was later spread among Bijie Orchid friends that "Erbao Valley Flowers", "Huangbao Valley Flowers", "Nuobao Valley Flowers" and other expressions appeared, and the selected time was the variety of Chunlan new products in the mountains of Qihua. Later, when some non-local orchid friends introduced the strange flower in Bijie, they may not get the original species of the strange flower or the connected seedlings of the original species of dragon root, so it is reasonable that the product does not accord with the opening product of the strange flower.

From March 1 to 3, 1997, the third Guizhou Orchid Expo was held in Bijie Library, and the flower won the gold medal. In late February of the same year, Mr. Li Guoxiang, who has died of illness, sent the flower to attend the orchid exhibition in six provinces and one city (Jiande) in East China and won the gold medal. In early March, he sent the flower to Hangzhou to attend the 10th China (Spring) Orchid Expo. When participating in the exhibition in Hangzhou, Mr. Li Guoxiang reported that the flower was called "Wumengqi Butterfly". When filling in the form and writing it, the registrant wrote it as "Ancient Monkey Butterfly". At that time, Mr. Li Guoxiang thought that the name "Gumengqi Butterfly" was also good, so he acquiesced. After the award, Gumengqi Butterfly won the only gold medal for the orchids participating in this year's Orchid Expo in Guizhou Province. It has been confirmed that this is the first time that Chunlan, which is originally cultivated in Bijie, has won this honor. On page 15 of the Archives of famous Chinese Orchids (Chunlan) compiled by Liu Qingyong and Mr. Wu Senyuan, it is the appearance of Gu Mengqi Butterfly at that time. After "Gumengqi Butterfly" Hangzhou won the National Gold Award, Mr. Peng Liangzheng from Sichuan bought it back for cultivation in Sichuan.

In February 2001, Mr. Lu Shilun, a friend of Bijie Orchid, presented the flower to the 11th China (Guiyang) Orchid Expo named "Wumeng Peony" and won the gold medal and silver award. After that, Mr. Su Li of Yunnan introduced the strange flower from Mr. Lu Shilun to a photo of the strange flower taken by Mr. Zheng Liang in Yunnan. After introducing the strange flower, Mr. Su Li published the photo in several publications and called it "colorful Yunnan".

In the autumn of the same year, Mr. Lu Xiufu of Zhejiang Province introduced more than 20 seedlings of the strange flower from Hongshan Hotel Zhu Hengyang, Zhu Hongzhi, Zhao Yuejin and other orchid friends to Bijie. On page 130 of "New Collection of Chinese Cymbidium and Cymbidium" edited by Mr. Chuan Shulun, the flower is also known as "Yaochi Peony", also known as "Jinling Peony". In fact, the photo of the strange flower published in the book should be the earliest photo of the strange flower, which was published twice in pages 43 to 44 of Guizhou Orchid, co-edited by the Guizhou Forestry Department and the Bijie District Administrative Office in 2001.

Before and after this, Guiyang orchid friend Mr. Zhang Cuineng and others, generous Mr. Xie Xiang and others also introduced a certain number of strange flower seedlings in Bijie.

In February 2002, Mr. Lu Shilun named the flower after "Wumeng Peony" and went to Sichuan to participate in the 12th China (Chengdu) Orchid Expo and won the Silver Award.

At this point, Bijie Lanyou and some orchid friends from other places basically recognized that the strange flower should be called "Wumeng Peony", and unified the title of "Wumeng Peony" to the odd flower in the local calendar production and picture promotion. Of course, in the after-dinner chat, Bijie Lanyou is still describing how "Bao Guhua" is flirtatious.

So far, "Wumeng Peony" has not officially logged in. The current cultivation owner, how to call her is beyond reproach. The writer describes the origin of "Wumeng Peony" and only wants to provide Lanyou with the real information about the strange flower. In some publications, the bookmaker saw that some orchid friends have not only "colorful Yunnan", but also "Wumeng peony", and they do not know where the varieties come from. Of course, the bookmaker also hopes that when an orchid friend officially logs in, he will log on to the strange flower and name it "Wumeng Peony". The place of origin plus shape is also more appropriate.

Mr. Lu Xiufu is one of the most successful people in introducing "Wumeng Peony". Apart from the fact that the number has rapidly increased to more than 100 seedlings, he has also made rich economic returns, especially in cultivation and management. In February 2004, Mr. Lu Xiufu renamed the flower after "Wumeng Peony" and participated in the Moon Rabbit Cup sixth Orchid Expo in Zhejiang Province (Wenzhou) and won the gold medal. The color photo is published in Lanhui (No. 3, 2004, p. 42). In the color photo of "Wumeng Peony", the outer valve has been partially butterfly, which has not been seen and failed to be planted in Bijie and other areas. Published in Lanhui (July 2004, p. 108) is also the best product of "Wumeng Peony" cultivated by Mr. Lu Xiufu.

The author and Lanyou have visited the downhill place of "Wumeng Peony" several times. The downhill place of "Wumeng Peony" is only 10 kilometers from Bijie city, with an altitude of 1360 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides, and the pine forest is stacked with verdant, which is Jurassic purple sand leaf red loam, and at the foot of the mountain is a stream flowing down from Bijie area. Up to now, spring orchid seedlings still grow from time to time on the nearby hillside, but as soon as orchid seedlings are unearthed, they have long been poached by insiders. " Where the Wumeng Peony goes down the mountain, there is already a rectangular resistance of 3 meters long and 1 meters wide, and the implementers sift through the soil when digging dragon roots and eggs. At that time, there were still a large number of dragon eggs screened out at that time, but how did they grow into seedlings?

After nearly 10 years of cultivation and development, "Wumeng Peony" has been planted by more than 20 orchid friends in Bijie. Generous in the province, Guiyang, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Yunnan and Lanyou in Taiwan have also been introduced and cultivated one after another. "Wumeng Peony" has been fragrant all over the world. Although "Wumeng Peony" will maintain a certain high price in a short period of time, with the improvement of cultivation level and the extremely strong germination rate of "Wumeng Peony", it is believed that this wonderful flower of Chunlan, which originated in Bijie, will enter the orchid shed of thousands of orchid friends at a reasonable price.
