Yesterday I posted an article about autumn management. Today, several orchid friends asked me how to manage the bud. As far as I remember, I seemed to have made up a flower bud paste before, but I couldn't find it for a while, so I was bravely tapping the keyboard. Anyway, I am used to talking nonsense, so let's do it again. However, first of all, I am talking nonsense. I can't be true. Specifically, I want you to figure it out for yourself, because everyone's environment, seedling situation, planting materials and so on are different. We can't talk about it all.

Generally speaking, like now, many flower buds have already been unearthed, and in a few months, we will be able to smell orchids. However, if the management of flower buds is not in place, I think it is really unknown if we really smell them. With regard to the management of orchid flower buds, I generally think that we should grasp the following points:

1, temperature and temperature difference. In my opinion, the key factors for flower bud development are temperature and temperature difference between day and night. If the ambient temperature of the orchid room is higher than the normal growth environment of bluegrass, I think there is a problem whether the bluegrass itself can survive normally, not to mention flower buds. Therefore, the ambient temperature of the orchid house should be suitable for the growth of bluegrass and should not be too high. There is also the temperature difference between day and night, many orchid friends in the south should have a little experience, your side of bluegrass is relatively more extinct, I personally think this is mainly due to the high temperature and the small temperature difference between day and night.

2. Water management. Because after the bud is unearthed, it is usually autumn, with less precipitation and relatively low air humidity, so the bluegrass in my orchid pot ensures sufficient moisture, makes the orchid basin moist, and increases the ambient air humidity accordingly. If the bud is about to open, it is necessary to control the water of petal flowers and butterfly flowers.

3. Control the light. Generally speaking, adequate light is a major factor in the bud development of Zhuang orchid plants. But in bluegrass with flower buds. This is how I manage. In the case of colored flowers and other petal-shaped flowers, butterflies and so on, I fully enjoy the sun except that I have a little shade at noon, "now, not after October". Such as vegetarian heart, green flowers and so on, it is relatively rare to see light.

4. Strengthen ventilation and prevent diseases and insect pests. If orchid sprouts encounter diseases and insect pests, they will be in trouble, so we should try our best to prevent diseases and insect pests.

5, for the oblique and crooked flower buds, they can generally be corrected after they have just been unearthed. I usually hang the flower buds with a small thread, correct the growth direction with physical methods, or use a black paper tube to "leave space and transparent light above", using plant phototaxis to correct.

(6) proper topdressing and light application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer to orchid grass with flower bud to supplement nutrients and lay the foundation for a good opening product of bluegrass.

7. Try not to splash flower buds with water and fertilizer when watering and fertilizing. To prevent fertilizer and water damage

Please add to other orchid growers. Thank you.
