Mr. Fei Taiyuan of Yuxi Orchid family bought two and a half seedlings of this product in 2003, and now nearly 100 seedlings have been sold, and there are still nearly 500 seedlings in the orchid shed. Of course, he is an orchid master, such a high seedling rate is not universal, but the high seedling rate of this variety can be seen from this.

Like most national orchids, lotus petal orchids have rich and colorful varieties, and many varieties can form a series. In addition to the petal-shaped flowers, color flowers, butterfly flowers, leaf art, vegetarian flowers and other series that most national orchids have. There is also a variety series that other national orchid varieties do not have, that is, the red tongue series. It is not that other national orchids do not have red tongue varieties, but it is certain that no other national orchid has as many red tongue varieties as lotus petal orchids.

In the early 1990s, Baoshan Lanyou found a piece of lotus petal orchid red tongue flower in the back mountain of Xinzhai, Lujiang Township, Longyang District (the eastern foot of the southern end of Gaoligong Mountain, the west bank of Nujiang River), and hundreds of seedlings were collected. This series of red lip flowers have different plant shapes, wide and narrow leaves and different shapes. Its tall leaf length can reach more than 60CM, wide 1-1.2CM, majestic and magnificent; its short. The leaves are no longer than 20CM and about 0.8CM wide, exquisite and beautiful. The series is colorful, with red, green, white, hemp and other colors, with complete petal types, such as lotus, daffodils, willow leaves and so on. The common feature is that all the labial flaps have large area erythema. Covering more than 2/3 of the lip, most of them are heart-shaped plaques, forming bright red lips. Individual plant erythema covers the whole lip, which is a particularly rare variety of erythema. The color of this series of lip is also different, which are bright red, bright red, scarlet, purple and so on.

The red tongue series is refreshing because it embodies a unique aesthetic style. At present, the red tongue series has been widely spread in orchid circles at home and abroad. It is a famous orchid product collected by many orchid lovers. Baoshan Orchid has also developed a number of red tongue series orchid strains one after another. In recent years, Lanyou has cultivated a variety of red lips with Ye Yi from this series, which makes Yelan people miss it all the time.

Red tongue series of orchid varieties are also sporadically found in other producing areas, but a large number of red tongue varieties with different colors and petal shapes such as Baoshan are still in the first row. At present, the mountain where red tongue orchids grow has been called "Red tongue Mountain" by local orchid friends.

The book then publishes pictures of red double happiness, scorching lips, millennium red, holy grass red, heart to heart, spring dawn, Ruyi red lips, lotus-shaped red tongue, Sanjiang orchid immortal, red flower red tongue, canyon red, white flower red tongue, red-crowned crane, green lycopene and other lotus petal orchid red tongue varieties. Other Yunnan orchid monographs also introduce dozens of red tongue varieties, such as Sanjiang peony red, Jianchuan red, rainbow, snow red, snow fox, ruby, water red imperial concubine, report red, orchid red tongue, blue dragon red tongue, Sanjiang startled red, Longnu, Bilong Chunxiao and so on, which fully illustrates the large number of red tongue varieties in lotus petal orchids.

But so many red tongue varieties, most of them have not formed a brand, "famous and valuable". In a large number of lotus petal orchid red tongue varieties, of course, the most famous is bilong lycopene. This product is called "dierythrin", and it is not a false name.

In addition to bilonetin and dierythrin, the lotus petal red tongue series is also famous for heart-to-heart affinity, this variety is medium-wide lotus petal, leaf length 30-50CM; width 0.6-1.0CM; leaf buds round and plump, sharp pink; flowering from January to March each year, 4 flowers per arrow, flowers out of the shelf, lotus-shaped, large flowers, large heart-shaped erythema on the tongue.

As for the superiority of two kinds of lycopene and heart to heart, some orchid friends have such a view: as far as red tongue is concerned, it is better than heart to heart; in terms of valve type, heart to heart is better than two.

However, in addition to Bilong lycopene (some orchid friends separated it from the red tongue series to the vegetarian series), there is no doubt that heart to heart is the chief representative of the lotus petal red tongue. Some Lanyou believe that in the national orchid appreciation, the lotus petal orchid is famous for its rich colors, and the bright red tongue series is one of the bright spots, which was once the focus and hot spot of the market, and heart to heart is the most representative. Heart to heart, red red tongue series are composed of Erirubin and Longnu, and heart to heart has always been the most popular one in the red tongue series.

This product has also been in the limelight in recent years: on January 21, 2008, at the fourth China (Yuxi) Orchid Fair, delegations or orchid families from dozens of cities and counties inside and outside the province and South Korea participated in the fair, and there was a flood of visitors in the exhibition hall. Outside the hall, there are many orchid stalls selling orchids and buying orchids. There are more than 1000 orchids in this orchid fair, such as lotus orchid, spring orchid, bean orchid, spring sword, ink orchid, cold orchid and so on. There are many fine orchids, popular orchids and active transactions, with a turnover of more than 1000 million yuan alone. The varieties with active trading are Gold Coast, Jade Rabbit, Jianyang Butterfly, Star Sea Butterfly, Qi Hua Su, Dian Cang Mei, Heart to Heart, Da Xue Su and so on. Unexpectedly, among the total 123 transactions, dierythrin emerged as a new force, with 8 transactions, accounting for 6.50% of the total turnover, which is one of the varieties with large turnover. Then, in March 2008, the author visited Mr. Chen Shaomin in Shantou, Guangdong, and heard him say that he had bought more than 700 lycopene in Dali, Yunnan Province in the last two months, which sold out in Guangdong within a few days.

Most of the dierythrin sold at the Yuxi Orchid Fair belonged to Mr. Lanjiafei in Yuxi. After the Orchid Fair was over, Lanyou went to its Orchid Garden to buy dozens of seedlings.

When the price of dierythrin was high, it once reached tens of thousands of yuan per seedling. For example, when Mr. Fei Taiyuan introduced it in 2003, the price per seedling was 12000 yuan; in the previous year or two, it was two or three thousand yuan, but now the price is generally several hundred yuan per vaccine.

To tell you the truth, when Erubin blossoms, the color is pleasing to the eye, the fragrance is pleasant, and the charm is attractive, such as Little Jasper, which is a good ornamental variety.
