Measures for the redistribution of import tariff quotas for agricultural products promulgated
Beijing, 27 Aug (Renmin Ribao)-- the National Development and Reform Commission today announced matters related to the redistribution of import tariff quotas for agricultural products in 2014.
The notice points out that end-users who hold import tariff quotas on wheat, corn, rice and rice, sugar and cotton in 2014, who have not signed an import contract for all the quotas that year, or who have signed an import contract but are not expected to ship from the port of departure before the end of the year, should return the outstanding or unfinished portion of the tariff quota they hold before September 15.
End-users who have obtained import tariff quotas for wheat, corn, rice, sugar and cotton in 2014 and have all been used, and new users who meet the application conditions set out in the Distribution principles and the detailed rules for Distribution but did not apply for 2014 import tariff quotas at the time of distribution before the beginning of the year may apply for the redistribution of import tariff quotas for agricultural products.
