Agricultural cooperation has become an important part of the 10th China Yanji Tumen River area International Investment and Trade Fair held in Yanji Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province. Government officials and entrepreneurs from Russia, South Korea, Japan, China and other Northeast Asian countries have brought a large number of agricultural cooperation projects and reached a lot of consensus.

In recent years, with the encouragement of China's strategy of "going out" in agriculture, Chinese agricultural enterprises have accelerated the pace of overseas investment, and there have been many explorations on cooperation between China and Northeast Asian countries, including Russia.

Jilin overseas Agricultural Investment and Development Group Co., Ltd. is one of the earliest enterprises in the province to engage in overseas agricultural cooperative development. It has successively invested and established overseas grain planting bases in Russia and other countries, and planted rice, corn, soybean and other crops in Russia.

On December 3, 2013, 30,000 tons of rice planted on leased land in the Russian far East of Jilin Province successfully entered the customs from Hunchun Port of Jilin Province, which is the first time that Jilin Province has realized the mass return of overseas self-produced rice since the founding of the people's Republic of China. this marks a breakthrough in overseas agricultural development in Jilin Province.

Li Shuqiang, director of the overseas Office of the Jilin Provincial Agricultural Commission, believes that the development of grain production in Russia has not only led to local employment, but also increased tax revenue, which is a mutually beneficial and win-win thing.

With the gradual advance of Russia's "looking east" strategy, the vast land development of the Russian far East also needs the participation and support of Northeast Asian countries. At this meeting, the Russian delegation brought a large number of agricultural cooperation projects, hoping to find partners from Northeast Asian countries.

Brezhnev Vladimir Borisovich, chairman of the Russian Coastal Border region Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that Russia hopes that all countries will join the agricultural development and cooperation in the far East and develop the lagging far East and Siberia regions. it is suitable for the development of eco-agricultural production for China and other Asia-Pacific countries, especially grain, feed and meat production, as well as freshwater and mariculture.

In September 2013, China approved the establishment of a national agricultural science and technology park in Yanbian Prefecture, which is the only national agricultural science and technology park in the development and opening-up pilot area of Changjitu, making every effort to create platforms for the transformation of scientific and technological innovation, the incubation of emerging industries, and the agglomeration of high-tech enterprises.

Jin Jinan, director of the Administrative Committee of the Yanbian National Agricultural Science and Technology Park in Jilin Province, said that according to the overall plan of the park, the park is composed of three parts: the core area, the demonstration area, and the radiation area. The radiation zone covers the surrounding areas of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, including Mudanjiang City, Jilin City, Baishan City and other domestic areas, as well as Russia, North Korea and other foreign areas. The establishment of the park has attracted a large number of businessmen from Japan, South Korea and Taiwan to inspect and invest.

According to reports, the park is building a China-North Korea border exchange trade zone project, which relies on the advantages of North Korea's seafood resources, agricultural and sideline products resources, ecological resources and mineral resources to speed up the construction of import and export processing zones. introduce North Korea's pollution-free rich marine resources such as crabs, shellfish, fish and shrimp to create the largest fresh seafood trading area in Yanbian. To meet the demand for high-quality seafood in China's consumer market.

Some exhibitors and government officials predict that under the background of the gradual deepening of cooperation among countries in Northeast Asia, and based on the actual needs of countries in Northeast Asia, the strong momentum of agricultural cooperation will continue and may become an important direction and field of cooperation in Northeast Asia in the future.
