Lanfengtang Miscellaneous Notes Butterfly-- Outer Butterfly
The leaf shape of the outer butterfly in Chunlan is neither beautiful nor lotus, but if you observe carefully, you can see that it is different from other types of characteristics, and the bud of the outer butterfly is also quite unique. Next, I would like to talk about my understanding and experience on the leaf shape and bud of Chunlan outer butterfly.
The main results are as follows: (1) leaves: although most of the old species of Chunlan outer butterflies are lotus-shaped petals, their leaves are slightly slender and thinner than those of lotus grass. However, no matter whether the leaf is thick, thin, thin or wide, it has one thing in common: the symmetry of the leaf is not good. The leaf midrib of most outer butterflies is slightly partial, some are very obvious, and the asymmetry of leaf tip is more obvious. The lateral veins of the same leaf are divided into thickness, the distance between the lateral vein and the midrib is different on both sides, and the distance between the lateral vein and the leaf margin is not equal. The grooves on the leaf surface are also asymmetric, uneven in depth, width and width, and directional. The teeth of the leaf margin are unevenly arranged. The two edge teeth of the same leaf are thick and thin, and sometimes the single side of the back half of the edge leaf will be toothless or the tooth row will be intermittent, but when it reaches the tip of the leaf, the teeth on both sides will thicken obviously. The greater the difference of the tooth profile between the front part and the posterior part of the marginal tooth, the greater the proportion of the labial part of the sphenoid sidelobe.
(2) sheath: the leaf sheath of the outer butterfly is also slightly deviated from the midrib, so the leaf sheath is often curved or slightly oblique. The uneven tendons and veins on the sheath are also similar to the leaf veins. The scabbard is generally less sand halo and colorful.
(3) Bud: the bud of the outer butterfly focuses on the shape and is slightly lighter than the color sand halo. Generally speaking, the long bract clothing is mostly, and the sand halo is less, and the color on the bud is different from that of the midrib. If there is no obvious color on some bracts, you can see the permeability of the clothes, which is also a little different from the midrib. The overall roundness of the bud is not good, there will be irregular bumps and depressions, which are reflected in the alternation of the two tendons and veins, as well as in the part of the whole bud. The midrib of the bract is slightly deviated, the spacing and thickness of the lateral veins are also different, the length and thickness of the tendons are uneven, the tendons are uneven, and the tendons are not straight.
(4) Bud: the new bud of outer butterfly is often pointed and slanted, but does not affect the direction of bud emergence. If the bract color is thick, the bud color is also thick, and the bract color is often slightly decorated with light color.
(5) Stem: the Reed head of the outer butterfly is more round and slightly flat and round.
The above is a personal point of view and is for reference only. I hope you will correct and supplement the mistakes and inadequacies. Thank you.
