The Ministry of Agriculture vigorously promotes animal husbandry enterprises to "go out"

As a part of the fourth China-Asia-Europe Expo, the SCO Seminar on Animal Husbandry Development and Cooperation was held on September 3. The meeting focused on strengthening practical cooperation among SCO member states in the fields of livestock breeding, breeding, processing and trade of animal products. Relevant sources from the Ministry of Agriculture pointed out that in the future, it will cooperate with SCO member states in many aspects to encourage powerful enterprises to go abroad. Industry insiders believe that with the deepening of cooperation, animal husbandry-related companies in Xinjiang, western animal husbandry, Tianrun dairy, Tiankang biology and so on are expected to benefit.

Encourage enterprises to go out

Niu Dun, vice minister of agriculture, put forward four suggestions on animal husbandry cooperation among SCO member states in the future. First, actively carry out scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation in animal husbandry, and encourage and support scientific research institutions to carry out scientific research and technological exchanges in the fields of livestock breed resources, improved breed breeding, epidemic diagnosis, feed, animal product processing, quality and safety, and so on. The second is to strengthen cooperation in the prevention and control of animal diseases, establish and improve veterinary cooperation mechanisms in member countries, and strengthen the reporting of animal epidemic situations and the exchange of experiences in animal disease prevention and control. The third is to deepen cooperation in human resources development and strengthen cooperation in human resources development among member countries in breeding technology, improvement of livestock breeds, comprehensive prevention and control of diseases and safety of livestock products. Fourth, promote investment and cooperation among enterprises, actively build cooperation platforms for enterprises, and encourage and support enterprises to strengthen investment and cooperation in livestock and poultry breeding, animal vaccine R & D and production, feed production, animal product processing and trade.

Wang Zongli, deputy director of the Animal Husbandry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, pointed out that in recent years, the Ministry of Agriculture has successively issued and implemented a national genetic improvement plan for pigs, dairy cows, beef cattle, laying hens and broilers, and positive progress has been made in livestock and poultry improvement. Standardized scale breeding is the development direction of modern animal husbandry. The Ministry of Agriculture supports farmers to develop appropriate scale breeding of livestock and poultry through policy support, technical guidance and other measures.

Wang Zongli pointed out: China's animal husbandry adheres to the development strategy of "bringing in" and "going out," introducing a large number of excellent livestock and poultry germplasm resources and advanced practical technologies from developed countries in animal husbandry, and at the same time, encourage and support powerful enterprises to go abroad and participate in exchanges and cooperation in the international market. In the next step, the Ministry of Agriculture will proceed from the reality of the development of China's animal husbandry, actively explore exchanges and cooperation with SCO member countries in the fields of improved breed breeding of livestock and poultry, moderate-scale standardized breeding, resource utilization of livestock and poultry manure, import and export trade of livestock products, and so on.

Companies related to animal husbandry benefit

It is worth noting that during the meeting, the leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture led the members of the participating countries to visit the western animal husbandry and Tianrun dairy industry to promote the two enterprises to go out. Industry insiders point out that western animal husbandry and Tianrun dairy are the leading enterprises of animal husbandry in Xinjiang, the western animal husbandry is the meat industry integration platform designated by bingtuan, and Tianrun dairy is bingtuan dairy integration platform, with the deepening of cooperation with other countries, the two companies are expected to benefit from it.

The western animal husbandry has the provenance advantage of developing beef and mutton. With the policy gradually in place, the cow and beef industry of the company is expected to achieve rapid development. In fact, animal husbandry in the west has begun to cooperate with other countries. Xu Yimin, chairman of Western Animal Husbandry, said in an interview with the media that the company is prepared to cooperate with Kazakhstan to introduce and breed unimodal camels from Kazakhstan. Unimodal camels in Kazakhstan produce high milk, and the western animal husbandry will produce camel milk powder in the next step. The western animal husbandry is also preparing to introduce dairy goats and to negotiate with some farms in Kazakhstan to build a base in Kazakhstan.

In addition, Tiankang Biology is mainly engaged in the production and sales of livestock and poultry biological vaccines and feeds, and is the only designated veterinary biological products production enterprise of the Ministry of Agriculture in Xinjiang. With the development of cooperation in animal vaccine research and production, feed production and so on, Tiankang organism is expected to benefit from it.
