Last Updated: 2024/11/06, Many friends will think that hydroponic plants look better and are set off by water. However, this kind of plant cannot be hydroponically cultivated. The reason is that it is similar to cactus and is very resistant to drought. If it is hydroponic, it is easy to rot. Generally speaking, they are planted by sowing. Soil culture is more suitable for it, and the choice of soil is very important. It is best to choose fertile, loose, well-drained, alkaline soil to grow it. The temperature should also be suitable, 20 to 25 degrees. In addition, pay attention to ventilation.

1. Whether or not it is possible and why

Recently, many friends like water-raised plants. Because, with the foil of clear water, the whole plant will look better. Moreover, the effect of putting it on the windowsill and other places is good. Especially when the light shines down, the water surface will emit dazzling light, which is very good-looking.

However, this kind of plant is not suitable for hydroponics. Because its characteristics are similar to those of cactus. They all have little demand for water and are very resistant to drought. If it is raised in water, it is likely to cause rotting roots. At that time, not only the ornamental decline, but also the whole plant may die. For it, we'd better raise it in the way of soil culture.

2. How to plant and pay attention to it

(1) time: it is best from September to January of the following year, which is the most suitable time.

(2) soil: for soil-cultured plants, soil selection is very important. Nutritious, loose and breathable, strong drainage performance these requirements must have. In addition, according to its habits, the soil needs to be alkaline. Acid is not suitable for its growth.

(3) Note: after the soil and seeds are ready, you can sow it. However, it should be noted that its seeds are photophobic. Therefore, after sowing, it needs to be covered with a thin layer of soil. Humidity should be maintained, the temperature should be between 20 and 25 degrees, and ventilation should be ensured. After about ten to fifteen days, it will sprout.
