1. Prevent bacteria from the wound first.

If you change the basin or ramet, there are wounds on the stems, leaves and roots, you should first smear the wounds with fungicides to prevent the invasion of germs. it is safer to water them every 2-3 days after planting.

2. The old basin should be disinfected.

In principle, new pots should be used to grow orchids, but it is a pity that a large number of pots can be used only once. Disinfectants can be used to disinfect old pots and use them again.

3. The basin should not be too big

When small plants are planted in large pots, more plant materials are used, which can easily lead to poor ventilation and watering humidity. If more watering and absorbing too much, the plant is not easy to dry, bacteria are easy to invade, resulting in root rot.

4. Orchid plants should be planted shallowly.

Planting orchid plants can not be deeply planted, the base of deep planting will rot if it is moist for a long time. When planting, fill the root with the plant material. The base or pseudo-corm must be exposed and not buried in the plant material.

5. New buds are placed in the center

Planting orchids is not planted in the middle of the pot, the new buds should be placed in the middle of the pot, which seems to be skewed for the time being, but in the future the new buds will grow and blossom in the middle of the pot.

6. The root should be expanded.

The roots of orchids should be evenly spread in all directions and should not be squeezed into a ball, so that each root can touch the plant material and have good ventilation, otherwise it is easy to rot.

7. The plant should be fixed.

The orchid plant cannot be deeply planted, so it is often unstable, so it must be fixed with a pillar, tie a wire or use a hook as a pillar so that it will not shake and hurt the base.

8. plant material is pressed slightly.

The orchid plant material must be aerated and well drained, but it should also be pressed slightly, otherwise the base space is too large and the root growth is poor. The correct way is to compact from both sides, not from above.

9. No watering for several days

When newly planted orchids are planted, the roots may be injured, and the wound is coated with fungicide and left unwatered for 3-5 days to achieve efficacy and promote the growth of new buds and roots. This is the difference between orchids and ordinary plants and flowers.

10. Avoid bright light

Newly planted orchids must avoid strong sunlight to avoid excessive dehydration and should be placed in warm and shady places. Even the spray increases the humidity in the air until the orchid returns to normal growth.
