There are two ways to plant potted leeks at home: three days to germinate and ten days to harvest leeks.
Leek, which we all know very well, is a kind of green leafy vegetable that we often eat. It is very nutritious and contains a lot of protein, vitamin C, dietary fiber, carotene, calcium, phosphorus, iron and other minerals as well as aromatic substances. Regular consumption has the effects of increasing appetite, invigorating stomach and eliminating food, sterilization and anti-inflammation, dispersing blood stasis and activating blood, tonifying qi and strengthening yang, etc. It is a vegetable that most people like to eat.
The propagation of leek is usually divided into two methods: plant division method and sowing method. In the sowing method, after Qingming Festival in spring, the seeds can be sown when the daytime temperature is above 15 °. When sowing, flatten the seedbed (mat) in advance, you can use a small amount of mature organic fertilizer, but never use chemical fertilizer, so as to prevent the seeds from being burnt out as soon as they germinate.
The seeds can be soaked in advance, germinate faster, or you can spread dry seeds. Pour the seedling bed with water once before sowing. After the water has seeped, put the seeds into the right amount of fine soil, mix them well and sprinkle them into the seedling bed. In order to make the seedling emergence evenly, you can sow twice. Then it is covered with a thin layer of fine soil. In order to make seedling emergence quickly, it can be covered with a layer of plastic film and can emerge in about ten days.
When urban buildings are planted, they should be planted on sunny balconies. It can be planted in a deeper foam box or wooden box (pay attention to the drainage hole at the bottom of the foam box), or it can be planted in a special plastic seedling tray and a larger flowerpot. If you have enough depth, you will grow well.
Of course, the method of dividing plants is also simple, that is, the old plants in clusters are dug out and divided into several bunches, with about ten seedlings in a bunch, and each bunch is planted at intervals of 15cm. Plant a plant to cut off the upper leaves. The survival rate is 100%, and it can be cut more than ten days after planting. The leeks grown in this way are clean, hygienic, pollution-free, organic vegetables, and very convenient to eat. It will add some interest to the balcony of the building.
