One of the best ways to prevent stem rot

Recently, there are a lot of stem rot posts on the Internet, which are also very distressing. Personally, I think the improper treatment of Reed head wound is an important cause of stem rot. Even if the seedlings, which have been planted for a long time after ramet, seem healthy, they may not work in a different environment.

I raise orchid for a short time, whether it is newly bought seedlings or their own ramets, Reed head wounds are treated as follows, the effect is very obvious. I hope it can give you some inspiration.

Use a thicker wire and fold it into a round head. After the orchid is divided into seedlings, heat the wire and burn the wound. If the wound is convex, just burn it directly. If it is concave, you have to carefully extend the end of the wire to the bottom of the wound. Scald until the wound is carbonized and blackened, then pinch a little paraffin and put it on the wound, then slightly scald it, and let the wax melt completely to seal the wound. In this way, it can be put on the basin directly without disinfection. Pay attention to the hotter the wire, the better, gently when hot, do not put on it for too long to prevent the Reed head from being scalded.

This post has been posted before, but not many people approve it. Personally, orchid disinfection will prolong the process of taking the basin, and the wound will be put on the basin directly.
