Cuttage is a common breeding method for succulent plants, so how to make the cuttings take root quickly? Let's take a look.

The commonly used rooting method is sand rooting, which has the highest survival rate and is safe and reliable.

The leaf cuttings lay the leaves flat on the soil, waiting to take root. Do not insert half of the leaves into the soil, the soil should be kept in a moist state, it is easy to induce succulent roots, do not have too much moisture, and grasp the soil with your hands without sticking to your hands.

Rooting techniques of cutting:

(1)。 Soil: collect sand with uniform thickness at the construction site, clean, disinfect and sterilize it, then mix it with nutritious soil and add a little vermiculite.

The soil can also be mixed with coconut bran, peat soil, perlite and so on. The soil medium needs good air permeability, which is conducive to the breathing of succulent roots.

(2)。 Flowerpot: choose a flowerpot with good air permeability, which is conducive to the ventilation of succulent roots. The bottom of the pot needs drainage holes, and it is not easy to accumulate water in the pot to prevent succulent black rot or rotten roots.

Put a piece of non-woven cloth at the bottom of the basin to prevent the soil from leaking from the drainage hole and to prevent the root from growing out of the basin.

(3)。 Environment: put the rootless succulent plants in a dark and moist place to promote the rapid growth of air roots.

After the air root grows, put the succulent plant on the mouth of a glass bottle of the right size, and more roots will soon grow.

(4)。 Rooting powder: put the rooting powder in a bottle filled with water, shake it evenly, soak the root in the rooting powder solution, and stand the succulent plant at the mouth of the bottle.

Put it in a ventilated and astigmatic place, and the new roots will grow smoothly after 1 or 2 weeks.
