In 2003, the Council of Agriculture held the "Fifth National Agricultural Conference" with the main axis of "measures to deal with China's accession to the WTO". Lin Congxian, chairman of the Council of Agriculture, took another major oath today (24) to launch the "sixth National Agricultural Conference" on September 7th and 8th. What is the focus? In addition to looking at the international trade response measures of the CPTPP Trans-Pacific Partnership Comprehensive and Progress Agreement, Lin Zai stressed that "agricultural labor shortage" will definitely become one of the priorities. Whether it is the return of young people to their hometown, the mechanization of farming, or the opening up of agricultural foreign labor, "everyone's views need to be collected."
18 "local grass-roots conferences" converge on the "National Agricultural Conference"
Lin Congxian said, "apart from becoming the Ministry of Agriculture, the organizational structure of the (Council of Agriculture) group reform also shows the imagination of agricultural administrative units for agriculture in the future." In the past, most of the national agricultural conferences were focused discussions, inviting industrial groups, peasant groups, peasant representatives, industry officials and academic circles to participate, but in order to comply with the trend of citizen participation, the Council of Agriculture planned 18 "local grass-roots meetings" before the national agricultural conference in September, and included "online virtual participation" in local grassroots meetings to encourage citizens to participate in public affairs from the bottom up and through the network. As long as the number of citizens supporting the online proposal reaches 2000, the case will be discussed at the national conference.
He was asked whether the list of participants attending the "sixth National Agricultural Conference" in September was released. Zhou Miaofang, deputy director of the guidance Department of the Council of Agriculture, only said that as there is still some time before the National Agricultural Conference, it is clear that the list of representatives of industry, government, school, and civic organizations has not yet been drawn up, and the first grass-roots meeting will be held in Hualien on April 30.
