According to the statistics of the Agriculture and Food Department, the planting area of onions this year has increased by more than 100 hectares over last year, and about 72000 metric tons of domestic onions are in circulation on the market, an increase of 22 percent over previous years. The harvest periods of onions in the middle and south overlap, a large number of fresh onions are pouring into the market at the same time, waiting for sale urgently, and the cold storage in various districts is also full, making it difficult to adjust and alleviate.

From the perspective of the business model of the Daiwa Onion production Cooperative, the cooperative first negotiated the planting quantity with the seed company at the beginning of the year, and then prepared the warehouse and discussed the access with the expected cultivated area; and in order to establish a stable channel relationship, the cooperative will also import onions during the empty window of domestic onions to meet the demand for access.

In recent years, the price of onions has fluctuated greatly. If you want to stabilize the production and sale of onions, Hsieh Hsin-hui has put forward the management mentality: "No matter what kind of crop it is, you have to be sure of who you want to give it to."
