Last Updated: 2024/09/16, The investigation team of the Ministry of Agriculture went to Jiangsu for more than half a month to conduct in-depth research on the rice and wheat planting and management mode in Chengxiang Town Power Station Village of Taicang City. There are 1350 mu of cultivated land for rice and wheat planting in the power station village, which have all been transferred to the village collective and composed of 8 professional farmers.

The Ministry of Agriculture's approachable investigation team went to Jiangsu for more than half a month to conduct an in-depth study on the rice and wheat planting and management model of Chengxiang Town Power Station Village in Taicang City.

The total cultivated land of rice and wheat in the power station village is 1350 mu, which has been transferred to the village collective and planted by 8 professional farmers. But different from the general individual circulation management, they are a kind of "cooperative farm" management model, that is, the village has set up a professional cooperative of Tianzhan Farm and eight sub-farms. Eight professional farmers with more than 20 years of rice planting experience were selected as sub-field managers. The cooperative signs the contract of entrusted planting management with the sub-field director every quarter to grow rice or wheat in accordance with the requirements of the cooperative.

In planting management, the "four determinations and four systems" should be carried out, that is, setting output, costs, remuneration, awards and compensation, unified seed supply, unified agro-technical guidance, unified drainage and irrigation, and unified designation of grain sales departments. Take this year's rice planting as an example. For one mu of land, the approved output of the cooperative is 900 jin, the cost of the means of production carefully calculated by the cooperative is 553 yuan, and the management labor cost is 327 yuan. When the rice is harvested, the sub-field manager will hand it over to the cooperative in accordance with the standard of 900 jin. If there is excess production, the head of the sub-field will compensate for the deficiency.

Wang Biren, one of the eight field directors, signed a planting management contract of 172 mu. During the period of rice cultivation this year, his labor costs were well controlled. The husband and wife worked more, and the cost of one mu of land was about 150 yuan lower than that approved by the cooperative. He said that if the rice yield is 1000 jin per mu this year, it can still earn 100 jin per mu, which will cost 159 yuan. Rice can earn more than 50,000 yuan in one season, and even more in good times.

While the income of the cooperative is fixed, the income of the rice cooperative per mu is 900jin, according to the expected purchase price of 1.59yuan / jin of rice, the income is 1431 yuan, deducting the subsidy to the sub-farm manager's means of production and labor costs, there is still about 550yuan of income.

According to Shen Jianzhong, president of the professional cooperative of Tianzhang Farm, in 2014, the village collective adopted the cooperative farm model, the income per mu of rice and wheat for two crops was 767 yuan, plus the subsidies of governments at all levels for growing rice, the total benefit per mu was 1417 yuan, and farmers can get a lot of dividends this year.

After careful analysis, Shen Guanghong, leader of the investigation team, and other members found that the model of "cooperative farm" solved the problem of land fragmentation. After the concentration of agricultural land, the village collective planned and renovated the land, built high-standard farmland, increased the area of cultivated land, improved the quality of cultivated land, and increased more concentrated and continuous land. At the same time, after being managed by sub-field managers, the more you work, the more you get, and the more you produce, the more you get. They have technical and experienced advantages in grain cultivation, coupled with intensive farming, and the increase in output is guaranteed.
