Broad prospects for agricultural economy

At present, many people focus their search for new economic growth points on emerging industries. Wu Qing, a researcher at the Development Research Center of the State Council, has his own view: "if more institutional and institutional obstacles are removed for agricultural development, China's agricultural economic growth will still have broad prospects."

Wu Qing expressed the above views at a recent report on "China's Industrial Development and Economic Policy." He said that in order to tap the potential of the agricultural economy, it is necessary to support deeper rural reforms. For example, on the basis of confirming the rights of rural land, it is necessary to actively explore ways for farmers to obtain income from land transfer; to make up for years of arrears in rural infrastructure construction; and to encourage all kinds of capital to go to the countryside.

Wu Qing particularly emphasized the role of capital in going to the countryside. He believes that only by allowing various elements, especially capital elements, to flow freely into rural areas, can rural areas create more wealth, and farmers can be "rich without leaving the countryside."

To this end, Wu Qing believes that it is necessary to let the market play a decisive role in the allocation of resources, remove all kinds of unreasonable restrictions on capital going to the countryside, which are not in line with the direction of market reform, and truly let capital flow between urban and rural areas. At the same time, it is necessary to systematically ensure that capital, talents, science and technology and other factors receive due dividends in the development of agricultural economy.
