The annual meeting of China Edible Mushroom Industry closed in Wuhan.
Recently, the 2014 Annual meeting of China Edible Mushroom Industry, co-sponsored by the Chinese Society of Fungi, Huazhong Agricultural University and Yi Mushroom net, was concluded in Wuhan. During the meeting, experts made special reports on such topics as "China's edible mushroom industry in the next 30 years,"China's edible mushroom strain management problems and solutions," and "the trend of factory production of Lentinus edodes."
According to reports, the development of China's edible fungus industry started in the late 1970s. After more than 30 years of rapid development, the current output has exceeded 28 million tons and the output value has exceeded 200 billion yuan, making it the fifth largest crop in agriculture after grain, oil, fruits and vegetables. The output of edible fungi in China accounts for more than 70% of the world's output, and the cultivation technology of edible fungi in China has reached the world's advanced level.
