Bi Meijia said: at present, China's wheat crops have basically achieved full mechanization, but there is still a gap in the level of mechanization of corn and rice, and the potential is still great.

The comprehensive mechanization level of farming and harvest refers to the percentage of the total amount of machinery and equipment used in agricultural production. According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, last year, the comprehensive mechanization level of crop cultivation and harvest in China's 153 national modern agricultural demonstration zones reached 72.5 percent, and the mode of agricultural production in the demonstration areas has mainly relied on modern facilities and machinery operations.

Bi Meijia also said that although grain production in some areas has been affected by drought this year, this year will still be a bumper harvest and is expected to achieve "11 consecutive increases."
