Good morning everyone!

Under the care and guidance of relevant departments and leaders of Gutian County, and with the active participation and strong support of orchid lovers, all preparations for Orchid Association of Gutian County are ready. Entrusted by the preparatory group of Gutian County Orchid Association, I will report on the preparatory work to the General Assembly for your deliberation.

I. General considerations for the preparation of Orchid Association in Gutian County

Gutian Gutian belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate. The average annual temperature is 27.6℃ and the annual precipitation is 1579 mm. Short winter and long summer, summer without heat, winter without cold, mild climate, very suitable for orchid growth and reproduction. Gutian orchid friends after recent years of collection, cultivation, has a lot of new, strange, special orchid varieties, with a certain level of orchid cultivation, many lovers. In particular, the first Spring Orchid Exhibition held in the first month was a complete success. There were more than 5000 visitors in three days of incomplete statistics, which made a certain social impact and enhanced the public's understanding of orchids and orchid culture. To sum up, Gutian orchid has a broad mass base, orchid lovers cultivate a large number of rare varieties, orchid cause development prospects are broad, to speed up the construction of the four ancient fields has important significance, it is necessary to establish Gutian County Orchid Association.

II. Application and Approval of Orchid Association of Gutian County

In accordance with the Regulations on Registration and Management of Associations and other relevant policies and regulations, in January 2010, Gutian County orchid lovers Zhang Chonggong, Lai Anhuai, Yu Genquan, Jiang Shanlou, Zheng Xiaofeng, Wu Youchen, etc. believed that the time for establishing Gutian County orchid lovers 'folk organizations was basically ripe, and officially started the establishment of Gutian County Orchid Association. This work has received the attention and concern of the leaders of Gutian County Forestry Bureau. After careful study and careful preliminary preparation, Gutian County Forestry Bureau decided to approve the application of Zhang Chonggong, Lai Anhuai, Yu Genquan, Jiang Shanlou, Zheng Xiaofeng, Wu Youchen and other orchid enthusiasts to initiate the establishment of Gutian County Orchid Association, and formally submitted to Gutian County Civil Affairs Bureau for approval to establish Gutian County Orchid Association on January 5, 2010.

In order to strengthen the leadership of the establishment of Orchid Association in Gutian County and ensure the smooth progress of preparatory work, under the guidance of Forestry Bureau of Gutian County, orchid lovers in Gutian County established a preparatory working group for the association. Qiu Weijian, the main leader of Gutian County Forestry Bureau, and Lin Shuxia, deputy director of Gutian County Forestry Bureau, have made special research arrangements for many times and put forward clear requirements to ensure that the preparatory work is carried out actively and steadily. Gutian County Civil Affairs Bureau Community Office Director Xiao Biao also listened to reports on the preparatory work of the association for many times and gave guidance.

After repeated communication and coordination, the Civil Affairs Bureau of Gutian County made the Decision on Approval of Preparation of Orchid Association of Gutian County (GMZ [2010] No.002) on January 17, 2010, agreeing to prepare for the establishment of Orchid Association of Gutian County, with Forestry Bureau of Gutian County as the competent department. According to the approval requirements, we held an inaugural meeting today to pass the articles of association and produce executive organs, responsible persons and legal representatives.
