Grape is one of the fruits that every one of us is very familiar with. However, due to the work or family living environment, many people living in metropolises seldom see what the real vine looks like. The grape grafting technology and operation process do not have the opportunity to see it with their own eyes. Grafted grapes blossom and bear more fruit. Let's take a look at the specific steps today.

Grape grafting time usually has two stages. About half a month before spring germination and when the branches grow to semi-Lignification from May to June. In these two stages, grapes are generally operated by cutting. The survival rate is very high. Now let's talk about the operation process of grape green branch cutting. First of all, it is necessary to select a good plant, trim the lateral branches and make the rootstock in advance so that it can accumulate nutrients in advance.

After you get the scion, you can operate the grafting. The height of the rootstock is usually 30 to 50cm, cut flat with scissors at the smooth internodes of the rootstock, and then cut vertically along the rootstock with a grafting knife, with a depth of 3-4cm. Then cut the scion, with branches and rootstocks as thick and full bud point as good, one bud node, can also be two buds. The lower two sides of the scion are cut into wedges with a grafting knife, and the length of the wedge-shaped cutting surface is slightly longer than that of the rootstock incision 3mm (to facilitate firm healing).

Then insert the rootstock into the incision as soon as possible, align the rootstock with the scion cambium (at least one side), the upper end of the cutting surface of the scion slightly exceeds the rootstock incision 2 and 3mm, and then seal it tightly with tape and plastic film to leave the scion bud point.

It is worth mentioning that several leaves should be left in the lower part of the cut of the rootstock to facilitate plant photosynthesis and produce nutrients. But do not leave branches, should also be often checked after grafting, if there are bud germination or branchlets should be timely erased, in order to facilitate nutrients, water supply of the upper scion, as soon as possible to survive and grow.
