Last Updated: 2024/11/06, At the flowering stage, we need to give it 14-21 ℃ growth conditions, hydrophobic flower soil and sufficient water, during which we can increase the application rate of P and K fertilizer, reduce the amount of N fertilizer and cut off the diseased flower branches in time.

1. Florescence

First of all, it is necessary to understand its flowering period, so as to be ready to meet its flowering in time. Carnations usually bloom from April to September, and potted carnations last almost two or three months from flowering to complete withering. If the light conditions are too different, the flowering time will also change.

2. Maintenance methods

(1) temperature: it likes enough sunlight and good ventilation, and the most suitable temperature for its growth is in the range of 14 to 21 degrees Celsius. If the room temperature is higher than 27 degrees Celsius or lower than 14 degrees Celsius, it will cause growth retardation and so on.

(2) soil: soil with good fertility and hydrophobicity is suitable, if it contains a lot of humus, it will promote its growth. You can mix 30% to 40% of the volume of coarse organic matter in the soil, or you can use peat to raise it, but mix it with some perlite.

(3) Fertilizer: generally, the soil used for planting it needs to add base fertilizer properly. If there is no base fertilizer, the amount of fertilizer should be increased appropriately at ordinary times. Most of the fertilizers used are phosphate and potash, and it is best to apply nitrogen fertilizer as little as possible and to control the frequency of fertilization once a week to ten days. Be careful not to sprinkle fertilizer on the leaves when fertilizing. Just submerge the fertilizer into the soil at the root of the plant.

(4) watering: it is necessary to water the flowerpot every day. It is best to put a container larger than the flowerpot under the flowerpot to hold the excess water after watering. You can give it a little more water when it blossoms.

(5) thinning branches: there are too many flower branches, and the stem has been in a state of high humidity and no sunlight for a long time, and the plant is very easy to get sick, so it is necessary to properly comb the flower branches and remove the flower branches with yellowing leaves and weak branches to avoid plant disease.
