Spring temperature is warmer, very suitable for gardenia growth, occasionally cool down when pay attention to keep warm. It likes big water, but while keeping the flower soil slightly damp, pay attention not to let the water in the basin to prevent rotten roots. It does not need much fertilizer, but it likes fertilizer and grows in acidic loam soil, so it should be adjusted by adding some ferrous sulfate every time fertilization is applied, and the time of fertilization can be once every half month.

1. Soil

It is very important to choose a suitable basin soil, it is a kind of acid-loving plant, the suitable PH value is between 5 and 6, it is very afraid of alkaline soil, so it must not be planted in alkaline loam. The choice of flower soil can be made of sandy red soil mixed with peat soil, rotten leaf soil, vegetable garden soil, etc., and cinder soil without humus is avoided.

2. Temperature

The suitable temperature for its growth is between 16 and 18 ℃, which is generally in line with the average temperature in spring. However, if it is too low or is directly exposed to the sun, it will cause some damage to its growth. So in early spring, if the temperature is too low, we need to pay attention to warm measures. It should be kept in a well-ventilated and sunny place.

3. Moisture

For it, the water should be strictly controlled. It likes to be wet, but excessive dampness will lead to rotten roots, so it must be watered reasonably. The watering frequency mainly depends on the dry humidity of the loam. as soon as the basin soil is dry, you can spray the leaves with a spray can in the evening to increase the humidity.

4. Fertilizer

It is a fertilizer-loving plant, but considering that it must grow in acidic flower soil, a small amount of ferrous sulfate should be added to the fertilizer each time, and fermented for a while before applying fertilizer. When it comes to the peak growth period in spring, you can apply fertilizer every half a month. It is best to mix fertilizer with water to avoid burning the roots with too high concentration.
