A new wheat variety "Shangmai 1619" entered the national germplasm bank.

At the 47th variety approval meeting of the crop Variety approval Committee of Shaanxi Province, the new wheat variety "Shangmai 1619" successfully passed the examination and approval, which is the only wheat variety approved in southern Shaanxi and has been listed in the national wheat germplasm bank.

"Shangmai 1619" is a new high-yield wheat variety selected on the basis of "Shangmai 5226". It has been selected systematically for more than 10 years. "Shangmai 1619" is a weak winter mid-late maturing variety with strong disease and drought resistance, high yield and good growth. The regional test has significantly increased production, and the production demonstration has increased production by more than 50 kg per mu. It is another new variety that can continue to produce high yield. It can be used as a variety with high yield of more than 1000 jin per mu in dry land.
