Most of the rose seedlings bought in our market are small seedlings, and the price is affordable. Of course, many people will choose Da Galen Miao, feeling that Miao Da gets up quickly.

In fact, the biggest difference between big seedlings and small seedlings of rattan rose lies in the roots, not the branches.

The big saplings of Fujimoto rose we bought are only 1.5 meters at most, and they are generally relatively thin. Such branches are far from enough for us to build flower walls and flower arches.

Therefore, we need to protect the rapid growth of bamboo shoots as far as possible when Fujimoto roses sprout. Strong shoots are the main force for future flowering, while those old and relatively weak branches should be pruned in the future. Why can't the branches of Fujimoto rose be tied straight?

First of all, we bought more than one meter tall gallon of vines, the branches themselves are not strong enough, the old branches are not strong enough, we all know that roses need to be pruned frequently, and Fujimoto roses are no exception.

The growth of plants has a top advantage, if we tie the old branches straight, then affected by the top advantage, nutrition will be first transported to the upper part, but the branch itself is weak, naturally will not grow strong buds.

Secondly, due to the limitation of top advantage and insufficient nutrients in potted plants, it is difficult to send out bamboo shoots at the base. if there are no bamboo shoots, the old branches grow thin, and the final result is growth stagnation.

Then what should be done to grow bamboo shoots?

The method is very simple, break the apical dominance, let the nutrients flow back to the middle and lower part of the plant, then the basal bud point is easy to germinate.

How to break the top advantage?

We all know that the principle of heart-picking is to break the top advantage of plants, but it should be noted here that I can't use heart-picking methods for Fujimoto roses.

Because it is no longer meaningful to pick the heart of the thin branches on the old branches, and the bamboo shoots are our key protection object, in other words, Fujimoto rose has no heart to pick at all.

What about pruning? Can shortening the branches have the effect of promoting bamboo shoots?

According to reason, cutting short rose branches can promote the production of bamboo shoots, shrub rose, winter re-cutting is this reason. But for Fujimoto rose, there is no good time for us to carry out heavy cutting.

As a matter of fact, Fujimoto rose is heavily cut in winter, and most flower friends are reluctant to give up. Blue demon himself is the one who loves flowers and grows flowers, so he is naturally clear, so the method of re-cutting is not recommended.

And heavy cutting is not good for Fujimoto rose.

First of all, if the rose is cut short in the growing season, it will make the rose lose a lot of leaves. As the blue demon said in the previous article, the leaves of the rose can provide nutrients for the rose through photosynthesis, and the leaves will be reduced. Inevitably, the nutrients produced by photosynthesis will be less.

This is also one of the reasons why the new buds of the rose are found to grow thin after re-cutting the rose in the growing season.

Secondly, after pruning, if the water management is not good, the rose is also easy to die.

What should be the correct method of promoting bamboo shoots of Fujimoto rose?

In fact, it is very simple to put down the branches of the rose to make it droop naturally, or by artificial traction, to make it droop, or to keep balance with the ground.

Rose branches drooping their heads or keeping balance with the ground can break the top advantage and make nutrients flow back to the middle and lower parts, which is conducive to the production of bamboo shoots.

After the bamboo shoots are produced, how to protect the bamboo shoots?

When the shoot buds of Fujimoto rose are produced, first of all, it is necessary to ensure an adequate supply of fertilizer and water. Secondly, after the shoot buds grow to a certain height, we need to set up scaffolds for them to keep them upright.
