Common bonsai production and maintenance of Narcissus

Narcissus, alias Chinese daffodils, female historical flowers, Lingbo fairies, snow flowers, Paixuan, Yao Nuhua, Yake, elegant garlic and onions, are perennial herbaceous flowers of Amaryllidaceae. The elegant Narcissus bonsai is shown in figure 1.

In general, daffodils are loaded in baskets, and the less the number is, the bigger the daffodil ball is. Flowerpots are mainly pottery pots, porcelain pots and tile pots. Hydroponic culture can be done with glassware.

Daffodils like loose soils rich in organic matter and plenty of water. The suitable pH is 5-7.5. It is generally mixed with loam, rotten leaf soil and fine sand.

1. Material selection

There are Zhangzhou Narcissus, Putuo Narcissus, clove Narcissus, Chongming Narcissus and other varieties in China, of which Zhangzhou Narcissus is the most famous. Foreign varieties include perfume daffodils, lipstick daffodils, trumpet daffodils, daffodils, cyclamen daffodils and other varieties.

2. Bonsai modeling

1) first scrape off the soil and withered roots from the daffodils' heads and peel off the brown skin. J cut the person along an arc parallel to the bottom, cut the upper epidermis, and peel off the scales of the upper 2thumb 3 layer by layer until you see the leaves of the daffodils. Generally speaking, the leaves of daffodils grow in a row.

(2) after the shaved leaves are fully exposed, begin to shave the leaves. Use) J to carve off the scales and leaf bracts on both sides of the leaf bud one by one, be patient and meticulous, and do not hurt the leaf bud.

Shave from the head of the leaf to the root, shave about 1 inch 3, the less leaves are shaved, the more straight the daffodils grow. In this process, to avoid) J, otherwise teeth. And avoid touching the bud.

(3) the leaves of daffodils with cutting edge originally grow straight. If you want to make the leaves and pedicels grow into curved crab claws, you must cut them.

When cutting the leaf edge, use your fingers to apply a little pressure from the back of the leaf bud to separate the flower bud from the leaf bud, and then cut off the leaf edge evenly from the top to the bottom, from the outer leaf to the inner leaf. After carving one side of the tissue is injured and scarred, the growth is slow, the uncut side is still strong, and the growth of the two sides is unbalanced, so it grows into a crab claw-like leaf bent to one side. During operation, do not touch the bud in the middle of the leaf bud.

(4) the upper part of the flower bud is the bud and the lower part is the pedicel. J will clean and smooth the surface and carve the front into a smooth shape.

It is difficult to carve a flower stalk and cannot break the bud. When carving a pedicel, cut off the pedicel from top to bottom to a depth of about 1 pedicel. If you want the pedicel to bend in which direction, cut which side of the pedicel.

The side ball of daffodils is carved in the same way as the cue ball. The engraved bulb should be cut down and soaked in clean water for one day and night, then wash the mucus and place it in a shallow water basin for maintenance. Generally, the carved daffodils bloom earlier and the florescence is shortened. Tie up the plate containing the daffodils and untie it after it blossoms.

3. Bonsai maintenance

The main results are as follows: (1) Illumination daffodils like light, if you want to make the daffodils grow normally, the light should not be less than 6 hours a day, and if the light is insufficient, there will be excessive growth of leaves, little and thin flowering or no flowering. But don't let it be exposed to direct sunlight for a long time.

(2) watering daffodils like humid environment, and need a lot of water in the period of growth and development, and when the metabolism weakens in the mature period, the demand for water also decreases accordingly. Soil watering should pay attention to dry and wet, do not water when the soil is not dry, once watered thoroughly, until the basin bottom leakage, watering time is best chosen in the morning and evening, otherwise it will destroy the growth of the root system.

(3) when fertilizing and cultivating daffodils, it is not necessary to apply some thin human and animal manure 1-2 times a month to promote the bulb to store more nutrients. Water and sand daffodils generally do not apply fertilizer, if there are conditions can be asked to apply some phosphate fertilizer during the flowering period to ensure that the flowers are bright.

(4) overwintering daffodils are put indoors in winter and move out after Grain Rain season.
