Modern agricultural machinery to ensure a bumper grain harvest in the northern wasteland

On the eve of the National Day, there was a rumble of machines and the fragrance of rice in Heilongjiang reclamation area, and the Northern Wild Land ushered in another bumper harvest year, offering a generous gift for the birthday of the people's Republic of China. Agricultural mechanization contributed greatly to this achievement.

At the corn harvest site of the Friendship Farm of the Heilongjiang General Administration of Land Reclamation, a behemoth is driving in the corn field. The corn combine harvester, which is as wide as nine ridges, cuts down, crushes and threshes pieces of corn at once. Agricultural mechanic Li Cai told us that this combine harvester is a new high-horsepower corn combine harvested by Friendship Farm this year. 450 mu of corn can be harvested in one shift, not only the straw is crushed at the same time, but also threshing, recording the weight, moisture, and harvest area of the corn at the same time.

It is understood that in the past three years, the Heilongjiang Reclamation area has invested a total of 9.3 billion yuan in the renewal of agricultural machinery, adding more than 151000 sets of machinery of all kinds at home and abroad. By the end of 2013, the reclamation area had built and improved 400 modern agricultural machinery and equipment operation areas, with a total power of 8.953 million kilowatts, 68500 large and medium-sized agricultural tractors, 72800 motorized rice transplanters, 28400 combine harvesters and 88 agricultural aircraft. Last year, the comprehensive mechanization rate of the field in the reclamation area reached 98%, and the cross-area operation completed 50.86 million mu. Modern agricultural machinery has become one of the important factors to ensure stable and high yield of grain production.

At present, the agricultural machinery equipment in the reclamation area has reached the advanced level of the developed countries in the world. Heilongjiang Reclamation area has not only contributed to the national food security, but also become the leader of China's agricultural mechanization.
