More than half of the national autumn harvest as of October 8, 640 million of the national autumn grain has been harvested
According to the agricultural situation regulation of the Ministry of Agriculture, at present, more than 50% of the country's autumn grain has been harvested, 10% of the autumn crops have been planted, and the autumn harvest and autumn seeds have entered a peak period, which is also a key period for the implementation of the area of winter wheat. Agricultural departments at all levels should strengthen the dispatching of machinery and tools, strengthen guidance services, speed up the progress of harvest, ensure that particles return to the warehouse, and complete autumn and winter planting tasks with high standards and high quality.
According to dispatching analysis, as of October 8, 640 million mu of autumn grain had been harvested nationwide, 53.7% of the planting area had been completed, and the harvest progress was 4.1% slower than the same period last year. The reason is that continuous rainfall in some areas of Huang-Huai, Jianghuai, southwest and other areas in the first and middle of September affected the harvest of autumn grain, and the frost period was postponed at the beginning of this year. However, during the 11th five-year Plan period, the weather in most parts of the country was sunny, which was conducive to the autumn harvest, and all localities strengthened their guidance services to harvest autumn grain.
The progress of autumn and winter sowing this year is also slower than that of last year. According to the schedule, as of October 8, 40.49 million mu of winter wheat had been sown nationwide, 12.0% of the planned rate, or 4.6% slower; and 19.31 million mu of winter rape had been sown nationwide, 18.3% of which was completed, 3.1% slower. According to analysis, the slow sowing progress of wheat compared with the same period last year is mainly due to the postponement of autumn harvest in Huang-Huai and Northwest China due to continuous rainfall in the first and middle of September, and the promotion of timely late harvest of corn in some provinces of Huang-Huai-Hai, but the soil moisture is generally better this year. Wheat can still be planted within the suitable sowing period.
In addition, according to the forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory, in the next 10 days (October 8-17), except that there is more precipitation in some parts of southwest China, the precipitation is normal or less in most parts of the country; except that the temperature in northern Xinjiang, northeast Inner Mongolia and Northeast China is 1 ℃ ~ 3 ℃ lower than that in the same period of the normal year, the temperature in most other parts is close to or slightly higher than that in the same period of the normal year, and the meteorological conditions are generally conducive to the ripening and sun harvest of autumn crops and the sowing and emergence of winter wheat.
