Talk about "the pathological phenomenon of orchids not taking pots"

Talking about the phenomenon of morbid disobedience of orchids, I read the post of "talk about sprout disease again" from the gentleman's national orchid friend (http://www.dfac.cc/showtopic-18-288144-0-0-1.htm)), and I think it is very reasonable. Especially moved by his spirit of daring to explore, I also squeezed some time to express my views. I do not deny Gentleman Guolan's theory of sprouting disease, and even agree with him. Here I would like to use a more popular point of view, that is, the pathological phenomenon of orchids.

The pathological failure of orchids is actually a pathological dormancy phenomenon of orchids, that is to say, due to some reasons, orchids are dormant or semi-dormant for a long time, affecting the normal growth of orchids. In this post, combined with my practice, I would like to talk about my superficial views on the manifestations, causes and treatment methods of the pathological disobedience of orchids.

First, the manifestation of the pathological phenomenon of orchids. It is mainly shown from the three aspects of leaves, buds and roots: first, the leaves, the orchid leaves look lethargic and have no proper luster, some will be dehydrated, black spots and scorched tails will appear on the leaves that are more serious, and the second is buds with deep dormancy. I haven't seen leaf buds for a long time. In the semi-dormant state, the unearthed leaf buds can be seen occasionally, but the growth is slow, it is long to stop, it is difficult to form seedlings, and even the buds are stiff again after being unearthed; the third is the root, because the bluegrass will protect itself from the orchid root in the dormant state, and the root is hard and inelastic. Langen does not grow, and the secondary seedlings that should root do not root. Although the semi-dormant ones grow roots or send new roots, they are all abnormal.

The longest pathological failure of orchids can last as long as 2 or 3 years, but will eventually fall down. During this period, the disease resistance of bluegrass is very low, and most of them will fall down to two-rot disease.

Second, the cause. First, the influence of bacteria, bluegrass infected with bacteria, this bacteria seriously affected the normal growth of bluegrass. Second, the environmental impact, the phenomenon of pathological failure of orchids in their own ripe grass is very difficult to occur, in the downhill grass and purchased grass in a small amount, the proportion of local downhill grass is less than 5%, the proportion of purchased grass is much higher, may be the cause of greenhouse seedlings. The environmental impact mainly refers to air temperature, humidity, light and altitude, etc. After bluegrass is in hand, it can not adapt because of the great difference in environment. The third is the influence of planting materials, which is easy to understand.

Third, the method of treatment. The key to treatment is to revive bluegrass in a dormant state. I myself use the method of forcing good to be a prostitute to deal with it, and it has a better effect. The specific approach is to carry out full literacy of bluegrass and force it to recover. First, choose the best temperature conditions to change the basin, when the spring and autumn temperature is about 25 degrees. Second, all the plant materials are made of small and medium-sized river sand, one part of medium-grained river sand and two parts of fine-grained river sand are mixed well and cleaned to make plant material. Third, bluegrass was thoroughly disinfected and root-promoting treatment was carried out. Broad-spectrum fungicides such as tocopherol and chlorothalonil were used for disinfection, soaked for more than 15 minutes, and then treated with rooting powder. Fourth, full light control water control fertilizer management, on the basin (pay attention to the pot as far as possible to expose the Reed head, buried up to 1/3), put bluegrass into the full light ventilation environment management, can not bask in the sun, water control is to accuse the foliar water, never spray water on the foliar, but must be watered, but also slightly wet, bluegrass plays a hint that there is water in the plant material, fertilizer control is not to apply any fertilizer.

After a period of management (2, 3 months or more), you may find that the orchid leaves are getting brighter and brighter, and even leaf buds have been unearthed. Congratulations, you have succeeded.
