The yield of Chinese super rice in the fourth stage exceeds 1000 kg per 100 mu per mu.

At the press conference, Tang Ke first announced a piece of good news: on the morning of the 10th, the Ministry of Agriculture organized experts to measure the yield of the fourth phase of China's super rice project with a yield of 1000 kg per mu, led by Academician Yuan Longping. The yield measurement results show that the yield of the fourth stage super rice in Xupu County, Hunan Province has exceeded 1000 kg per mu, setting a new record of 1026.7 kg. This is the result of the joint efforts and long-term struggle of a large number of agricultural science and technology workers led by Academician Yuan Longping, and it is also a great contribution to the cause of agricultural science and technology.

New progress has been made in agricultural science and technology, laying a solid foundation for the "ten consecutive increases" of grain output.

Tang Ke said: in recent years, the Ministry of Agriculture has conscientiously implemented the strategy of innovation-driven development, promoted innovation in the system and mechanism of agricultural science and technology, and provided a strong scientific and technological support for the sustained increase in grain production and farmers' income. In 2013, the contribution rate of agricultural scientific and technological progress reached 55.2%. The new progress in agricultural science and technology is mainly reflected in three aspects.

First, important breakthroughs have been made in the independent innovation of crop varieties and in tackling key production technologies, resulting in a number of original and major achievements, laying a solid foundation for China's "ten consecutive increases" in grain output. A large number of new crop varieties with high yield, good quality and strong stress resistance have been cultivated. During the 12th five-year Plan period, more than 370 new varieties of grain and cash crops were bred. In addition to super rice, the cultivated high-quality fragrant rice varieties account for more than 70% of the domestic high-grade fragrant rice market, breaking the monopoly of foreign varieties in the high-grade rice market. Jimai 22, a new wheat variety cultivated, accounts for 12% of the total wheat planting area in the country. A series of new maize varieties have repeatedly created large-scale high-yield records in Huang-Huai-Hai and other areas. In addition, 23 new breeds of livestock and poultry, 35 new varieties of forage and 19 new varieties of aquaculture have been cultivated.

A series of great achievements have been made in the breeding of transgenic organisms. It has conquered eight core technologies, such as gene cloning, transgenic operation and biosafety evaluation, and obtained 96 key genes such as insect resistance, herbicide resistance, high quality and high yield, breaking the long-term technological monopoly of developed countries. New varieties of transgenic insect-resistant cotton, such as Zhongmian 70, have been cultivated, making the market share of domestic insect-resistant cotton reach 95%.

A number of advanced and practical technologies with light simplification and standardization have been developed. Research and development of more than 50 sets of efficient crop cultivation techniques, livestock and poultry and aquatic products feeding and management of more than 70 new technologies. The developed high-yield cultivation techniques of deep pine have increased the yield of corn by an average of 150 kg per mu in the demonstration area; developed a large number of efficient, portable and labor-saving agricultural mechanization equipment; developed more than 50 kinds of green pesticides and 22 new veterinary drugs; integrated a number of major pest prevention and control technologies, and effectively improved the ability of disaster prevention and reduction and sustainable disaster control in agricultural production.

Second, the reform and construction of the grass-roots agricultural technology extension system has achieved remarkable results, and a trading platform for the transformation of agricultural scientific and technological achievements has been set up, which has established a fast channel for the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements.

Third, new progress has been made in the construction of agricultural scientific research platform and innovative talents, and a new training system for professional farmers has been constructed, which has injected new vitality into agricultural production.

Modern agricultural industrial technology system plays an important role in disaster relief.

The vast number of researchers in the agricultural scientific research system, including the three academies under the Ministry of Agriculture and agricultural scientific research and teaching units at all levels, the modern agricultural industrial technology system, the key laboratory system of subject groups, and so on, are called 100,000 troops and 20,000 elites. According to the needs of the industry and the planning of science and technology, this elite unit develops advanced and applicable technologies and solves practical problems in industrial development. Modern agricultural industrial technology system has played an important role in increasing agricultural production and income, disaster relief and disaster relief.

Tang Ke said that more than 2000 experts in this system, together with their team of more than 9000 people, undertake some urgent, difficult and heavy tasks at critical times, such as the northeast "armyworm" problem, H7N9 bird flu, southwest drought and other emergencies. This team is in the forefront and can pull out, top, and win. It can be said that they are particularly able to bear hardships, especially dedicated, and especially able to fight. According to incomplete statistics, over the past six years, system experts have participated in agricultural disaster relief technical guidance services for a total of about 18000 people, put forward nearly 1000 technical solutions, formed more than 1000 disaster investigation reports, and participated in more than 10 major emergencies, becoming the main force of science and technology in dealing with agricultural disasters and emergencies in China.
