Rural security can not be ignored.

Last Updated: 2024/11/22, Not long ago, I went to the countryside to do business and stayed at a fellow-townsman's house for a while. A fellow-townsman is building a house, and a young man is using a self-made crane to lift cement to the second floor. Suddenly the crane bounced the young man out of the second floor window, causing a fracture of the ribs.

Not long ago, I went to the countryside on business and stopped at a villager's house for a while. The villagers are building a house. A young man is lifting cement to the second floor with a self-made crane. Suddenly, the crane bounced the young man out of the window on the second floor, causing a rib fracture. Later, I learned that it was the self-made crane that did not meet the safety regulations and the improper operation of the young man.

This reminds me of something last year. Last autumn, I visited a friend in the hospital. A fellow villager living in the same ward said bitterly: "Never be careless when working in the countryside." One night a few days ago, it suddenly began to rain heavily. He hurried to the roof of the second floor to collect dried soybeans and corn. It was dark and the rain was heavy. I accidentally stepped on air and fell from the second floor, causing my left leg to fracture."

From this point of view, security work plays a very important role in rural areas.

In recent years, the living conditions of farmers in China have gradually improved, and gratifying changes have taken place in the construction of new countryside. however, some new situations and new problems have also emerged in security. For example, many peasants have gone on a large-scale construction project in order to change their old appearance into a new one. But in construction, accidents often occur due to lack of safety knowledge and operation skills of special equipment. Some farmers also bought advanced agricultural machinery or motor vehicles. However, in the process of use, due to unskilled operation or illegal operation and other reasons, such accidents occurred; some equipment only heavy use, do not pay attention to daily maintenance, laying the groundwork for hidden dangers. There are also some farmers with weak safety awareness and imperfect safety facilities. For example, frequently used roofs are not equipped with high enough guardrails, outdoor stairs have no handrails, adults and children fall from time to time; in excavated sections or dangerous areas (gullies, reservoirs, ponds), no eye-catching safety signs are set; some building materials and sundries occupy roads and safety passages, fire fighting facilities and equipment are not perfect, etc. These phenomena exist to varying degrees in rural areas, and accidents will occur if there is a little carelessness, causing great pain to families.

Security is an important part of new rural construction, and it is also the premise and guarantee of rural production and life. It is related to the harmony and stability of thousands of households. Therefore, in the construction of new rural areas, rural grass-roots organizations should put safety in a more prominent position and do everything possible to ensure rural safety.

First, we should establish a leading group for security work. Regularly study safety problems in rural areas, such as "eight precautions" in summer (prevention of electric shock, lightning strike, flood control, drowning, fire and explosion prevention, traffic accident prevention, heatstroke prevention, food poisoning prevention), fire prevention and gas poisoning prevention in winter; persist in carrying out hidden danger investigation activities, check hidden dangers at the entrance, correct violations, immediately rectify hidden dangers found, stop violations on the spot, and eliminate accidents in the bud. At the same time, some voluntary safety officers should be appointed. At present, there are many old, weak, sick and disabled people in rural areas. Voluntary safety officers in rural areas can regularly patrol and remind villagers of their safety conditions, and take turns to stand guard at vital parts and dangerous areas to ensure that nothing is wrong.

Second, improve the assessment mechanism for rural cadres. The work of rural grass-roots cadres is complicated, but it should be coordinated and arranged rationally. We should pay attention to safety as we pay attention to economy, family planning and stability; we should attach importance to rural safety as we attach importance to coal mine safety, and do not let safety become a dead corner. At the same time, the responsibility system for safe production shall be implemented, the assessment methods shall be improved, and the assessment efforts shall be strengthened to ensure the safety of one party.

Third, strengthen safety education. Most rural people have low education level and weak safety awareness. Some villagers are superstitious, thinking that accidents are their own bad luck, bad luck, or bad feng shui, but do not believe in science, do not investigate their own reasons. Therefore, rural grass-roots organizations should organize villagers to study safety laws, regulations and systems in a planned way, such as the regulations on the management of earth-moving electricity, the regulations on the safety management of electricity, the regulations on fire control and the regulations on road traffic safety. In the slack season, villagers can be organized to train in the operation skills of common agricultural machinery equipment, mobile equipment and special equipment, and targeted safety drills can be carried out to improve villagers 'safety skills.

Fourth, the superior should support and help more. The rural security foundation is relatively weak, so the higher authorities should increase investment in funds and policies, focus on "poverty alleviation" for rural security, improve imperfect facilities, and lengthen the "short board" of rural security. For some accident "frequent areas" and "severely affected areas", we should help grass-roots cadres sort out their thinking, formulate specific rectification plans and rectification measures, and return the people a healthy home. Carry out safety activities, invite technicians to rural areas to carry out various forms of safety knowledge popularization education, send safety knowledge to thousands of households, and constantly improve the safety awareness of the masses. In this way, a good atmosphere in which everyone stresses safety and everyone wants safety can be formed in rural areas, and tragedies will not repeat themselves.
