Many people say that rose is not easy to survive by cutting. even if the cuttings have new leaves, they are still easy to dry leaves and black poles after transplanting. What exactly is the reason?

The young leaves of the cutting rose will wilt, there are several possible reasons: 1, false living. 2. The light is too strong. 3. The basin soil is too dry. 4. Abrupt change of environment.

1. Fake work

This is the most common phenomenon of cutting rose, the bud grows out, it grows quickly and luxuriantly in the first few days, but it will wilt and wither after a week. Because the bud of the rose does not grow by rooting and absorbing nutrients and water in the soil, but by the nutrients and water stored in the cuttings, when its own water nutrients are consumed, it is not enough to provide water nutrients for the new buds to grow, and the new buds will wilt and wither. After that, the cuttings begin to blacken and the cuttings fail.

2. The light is too strong

The rose that has just survived the cuttage had better be preserved in astigmatism or shady place. at this time, the capillary roots are not well developed, and they can only rely on a few tender roots to absorb water, and the strong light exposure makes the new buds lose water quickly, and can not replenish water in time, so they wilt and dry out naturally. Should wait for the cuttage to grow for another month, there are enough capillary roots, and then receive the light step by step after transplantation, do not get the strong light at once. If the buds are wilted by the sun, move to a cool place for maintenance, as long as the roots are free, new buds will soon grow again.

3. The basin soil is too dry

When cutting rose, the basin soil should be kept moist. When the basin soil is too dry, the new roots of the cuttings can not absorb water in time, resulting in new buds lacking water and wilting and withering. You can check whether the basin soil is short of water.

4. Environmental change

Another case of wilting of new buds of rose cuttings is a sudden change in the growth environment, such as the original cover of plastic paper, suddenly lifted off the plastic paper, the humidity becomes too low. Or it is a cold spell, not paying attention to keeping warm, and the new buds are frozen. It may also be that bad weather conditions, such as strong winds, dry the new buds. The new bud is relatively delicate, you should pay attention to maintenance at ordinary times, otherwise it is easy to wilt.

In fact, when we are cutting, we can use the wall 2.0 cutting method, that is, vermiculite cutting method, to insert the rose directly into a container full of vermiculite, with a tray underneath, which should always keep about 1 cm of water. you can just put it in a semi-overcast environment, and you don't have to replenish the leaves. In this way, in about a month, the root system will be quite strong, and transplanting is very easy to survive.

Have you ever encountered these problems when cutting rose?
