Rapid ramet breeding method
Rapid ramet breeding method
Wild orchids are domesticated and cultivated by seed transmission and natural tiller propagation. Families often use the separate plant breeding method which is not only simple and easy, but also can preserve the characteristics of the variety, but the breeding speed is slow. The author has explored the method of rapid division and reproduction, and each plant with good vitality can sprout four or five new shoots every year. This method has won the bronze medal and thesis award of science and technology, and has been included in "Chinese Orchid Proceedings" and "Chinese Orchid Atlas" respectively. It is briefly introduced as follows: first, create conditions, enhance the accumulation of organic matter, improve the vitality of meristem, and lay a good foundation for rapid tiller propagation. The specific methods can be summarized as follows: open ball planting in loam, air permeability on six sides, dry and moisturizing, frequently shielding from frost and rain, avoiding pollution sources, full light in winter and spring, semi-shading in summer and autumn, early prevention and control of diseases and insect pests, fertilizer as needed, scape early removal, and replenishment after anthesis. Second, (when the temperature rises steadily in spring) separate plants are scattered in autumn to promote their division: in order to enjoy flowers, it is necessary to co-plant three or four generations, but the co-planted plants depend on each other, and the individual meristematic ability is not strong, only the new plants can tiller naturally. If they are separated, scattered and forced to stand on their own feet, the meristematic ability will be exuberant and the germination rate will be high. However, when the plant is divided into monomers, it is often because the original growth of the plant is not strong, and when it is split, it is easy to tear the base of the corm, resulting in rotten stem withering and germination of the new plant is only two leaves, slow growth. For this reason, it is advocated that the two plants should be split into a group, and the two plants should be slightly separated. When dismantling plants, you should pay attention to apply force to the old bulbs, cut the connectors with a disinfection knife, then cut off the withered roots, broken roots and diseased leaves, plant them in the new blue soil, keep them at a constant temperature for a month, and then raise them normally. Apply more cooked and ground bone meal and spray 800 to 1000 times the liquid of potassium dihydrogen phosphate every week (ammonium nitrate is better, or 0.1% compound fertilizer of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium at 3:1:1 is better). When the temperature will rise in spring, spray one of 1, 000 to 1500 times liquid every week, one of Aiduoshou, Gaochengling, Ye Mianbao, Yihuabao, or budding agents, and apply them alternately. And give more light (or light simulation light), pay attention to heat preservation. In this way, a gratifying germination rate can be achieved.
