Last Updated: 2024/11/06, If the plant grows too tall, it will inevitably affect its ornamental ability. There are three main ways to deal with this phenomenon. First, don't worry about it, because it won't do much harm. The second is to cut the root of it. After cutting it, dry it in a cool place and dry it. The third one is about aquaculture. If you grow too tall, you can cut it off. Use a sharp knife to cut the base into an oblique opening, paying attention to a smoother incision. Also, pay attention to changing the water every three to four days.

1. No need to deal with

Sometimes, the plant just grows a little longer, but slightly affects the ornamental, but will not have any effect in other aspects. Therefore, if this is the case, we can not deal with it first and wait for it to grow before we deal with it.

2. Root cutting treatment

If it grows too tall, we can take out the plant and cut it diagonally at its root with scissors. Note that the root of your choice needs to be old, not too young. Otherwise, it will not be easy to continue to take root. After cutting the root, you need to put it in a cool place and let it dry for about half a day so that its wound can have a rest.

After that, you can continue to put it in the original container. After dealing with it in this way, it may not grow very fast. Also, don't throw away the cut root, you can tie it with the original plant. New leaves and roots grow out. In this way, it will then grow into a more strangely shaped plant.

3. Cut it off directly

This treatment is for water-raised plants. If it grows too tall, it can be cut off directly. Prepare a sharp knife, cut the base into a bevel, and pay attention to the incision as smooth as possible. In this way, it absorbs nutrients and water in a larger area. After that, the water needs to be changed every three to four days.
