When succulent plants encounter these three situations, they quickly choose to change pots. It is too late for succulent plants to live.

If the leaves of succulent plants are still dry and soft after watering, we can consider whether to change the pot. Especially for the succulent plants that grow too vigorously, the rate of water evaporation will be very fast. If the floral apparatus of succulent plants is too small and the water retention medium is less, it is easy for plants to be short of water, and watering every day is not good for plants, and it is even worse for succulent plants to be watered for a long time.

If it is a healthy succulent plant, the leaves will be soft when lack of water, this softening is not a single leaf, but as a whole, we generally recover the next day after watering, if it still does not recover, it shows that the root system of succulent plants is unhealthy. At this time, changing pots is a good choice. Pruning unhealthy roots and planting them after drying roots can promote the growth of succulent plants.

Succulent plants sometimes appear tilted and unstable, so they need to be changed immediately. If the pots are not changed, the succulent plants will easily be blown out of place when the wind is strong, so for the healthy growth of succulent plants, I personally suggest that we replace larger and more stable pots. I remember that the surface of the flowerpot can put some paving stones to fix the plants. It can also prevent the soil from being blown away by the wind, or it can flow out when watering, and the paving stone has an aesthetic effect. Last time, a flower friend asked me what was the use of paving stone. Let's talk to the flower friends again here.

Sometimes the soil and flower utensils given to the seedlings bought on the Internet are not very good, and they are not suitable for the long-term growth of the seedlings at all, so we can find them a comfortable new home. One thing to note is that don't water the succulent plant for two weeks before you decide to change the pot. Dry soil is easier to operate when it is removed, and it will not hurt the roots because the soil is too sticky. Gently hold the succulent stem with your hand and buckle the basin upside down, so you can easily remove the old one.

Put a layer of ceramsite at the bottom of the flowerpot to absorb excess water and avoid rotting roots, because the particles are also relatively large and will not affect the bottom drainage. Add a layer of peat soil on top of the ceramsite, add vermiculite and perlite on top, and mix it in equal quantities. Peat soil is four times the amount of vermiculite. Cover it with peat soil, vermiculite and perlite and stir well with a small shovel. This configuration of soil is relatively sparse and soft, and the air permeability is good, which is conducive to the growth of the root.

Changing the basin is most suitable for spring and autumn. If it is a dormant "winter type" plant in summer, winter is also suitable. But in any case, never change the basin for it during the high temperature period in the middle of summer. If you encounter high temperature after changing the basin, it will not only affect the slow seedling, but also not easy to survive.
