How to cut Yushu
1. Leaf insertion
The method of leaf insertion is very simple, and the possibility of survival is relatively large. Generally speaking, we have to choose the medium first, we can consider the use of sand and peat, if you can add a little stone that is even better. If you can't find these things, you can take out some soil.
There are two specific methods of leaf insertion. One is to cut off the leaf first, then dry it, and then insert it into the sand bed. It will grow roots in about four weeks. After that, the operation is to put it in the pot. This usually starts after the roots grow two or three centimeters. Another method is to put it directly on the medium above, after a while it will grow roots, the latter method and fleshy cuttings similar.
2. Branch cuttage
The survival rate of using branches is particularly large, even larger than leaf inserts. In other people's words, there are no cases of failure. Branch cuttings should also be the same as leaf cuttings, first prepare the soil, and then cut off the top branches that grow more fertile, and the length should be controlled at about 8 to 10 cm. Then dry it out, and when it's a little dry, stick it in a sand bed, and it starts to grow roots in about three weeks.
After it grows normally, we should water it moderately, and usually put it in a dry and windy place, in which it will grow better. We should pay attention to not cutting in winter, because this time is its dormant period, this time the effect is not good, in addition to the three seasons can be operated, after cutting it is easy to grow roots, but also very easy to grow dense plump.

What if Yushu is frostbitten?
Because the temperature is relatively low in winter, many plants can't stand it and frostbite will occur. For this kind of plant, if the frostbite is serious, the roots will rot out of shape, or even melt water, which is usually impossible to save. If the frostbite of this plant is not serious, we will cut off the frozen part and keep the broken part dry at the same time as the soil. As long as you get through the winter safely, the next spring will grow well.
