What if the rubber tree doesn't grow new leaves?

Last Updated: 2024/11/06, After some flower friends bought it for maintenance, they found that no new leaves had grown out after a long time. What on earth was going on? It may be due to improper management of fertilizer and water, which requires us to change the management of water and fertilizer and give it sufficient and excessive water and fertilizer; or it may hurt the root when changing the basin, and at this time we just have to maintain it normally and wait for it to recover slowly.

First, fat and water:

1. Some plants need a large amount of fertilizer during their growth. If the fertilizer is insufficient or does not meet its needs at all, then the plant is likely to grow very slowly, relatively. New leaves may not be able to grow because there is not enough fertilizer.

2. So at this time we should consider the increase of fertilizer and water, and we need to apply the right fertilizer. In summer, when the temperature is relatively high, this plant grows relatively fast, so we can apply more fertilizer, and the amount of water can be increased appropriately, preferably with phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, which is helpful to its rapid growth. Fertilizer can be sprayed regularly once a week.

3. At the same time, some bone powder can be buried in its soil, not too deep. Water and fertilizer can be used with ordinary agricultural fertilizer. 5% of the water is dissolved in water and then poured on the roots or sprayed on the surface of the leaves. It should be noted that the fat liquid must be thin, otherwise it will easily burn the roots.

2. Water quantity:

Although it needs big fertilizer and water, it should also be noted that the soil in the basin should not be watered up for a long time, as long as the degree of moisture is maintained. If the water is too frequent, it is likely to hurt the roots of the plant.

Third, change the basin to hurt the root:

There is also a situation caused by inadaptation, after changing the basin, there may be roots injured, at this time the plant will go into a dormant state, we can wait for it to repair on its own, generally speaking, if you choose to change the basin for it in winter, then it is now in a dormant state, it is not easy to grow new leaves, just wait patiently until spring comes, then it will naturally grow new leaves. If the basin is not changed in winter, it will return to normal after a month.
