Exploring new ways of broadcasting service to agriculture

On October 28, China Rural Voice of the Central people's Broadcasting Station invited the heads of 24 county (city) radio stations to gather in Beijing to discuss how to establish a cooperation mechanism to promote the development of rural broadcasting, better serve the construction of China's rural public cultural system, and more effectively serve "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" and benefit farmers.

China Rural Voice of the Central people's Broadcasting Station, as the first set of public welfare, objective and comprehensive broadcast frequencies covering the whole country, regards "based on public welfare and serving agriculture, rural areas and farmers" as the fundamental starting point without any commercial advertisements. Through the broadcast network of county (city)-level FM stations and rural loudspeakers, we can provide local farmers with a full range of news and information, agriculture-related policies, agricultural science and technology, market information, legal rights protection, emotional and cultural services.

The county-level radio station is located at the grass-roots level, is closest to farmers, knows the situation at the grass-roots level best, and plays a pivotal role as a bridge connecting the central, provincial, municipal and grass-roots rural areas. However, for a long time, affected by a variety of factors, and the characteristics of locality and localization, the business contact between the county-level stations is less, and the communication platform is not smooth. County-level broadcasting is faced with difficulties and problems such as narrow living space, lack of program production team, program does not meet the needs of the audience and so on.

Through this discussion, the China Rural Voice of the Central people's Broadcasting Station and the county (city) radio stations across the country jointly exchanged and discussed the path of cooperation and development, and planned to build a platform with complementary advantages and shared resources through cooperation. we will maximize the resources of national agricultural broadcasting and jointly build a new platform for party and government propaganda on agriculture, rural areas and farmers, as well as public cultural services in rural areas.
